Thanks for all the help guys. I've taken yesterday and today off except for light field work and putting.
I also went through both courses in Google Earth (Great tool for disc golf BTW, example below) and printed a hole info sheet for each hole. I marked landing zones with distance, distance to...
I have a tournament coming up this weekend. The two courses it will be played on are the two I live closest to and have spent the most time on. I've spent the week doing light field work and putting at my practice basket. Anybody have pointers on what they would do over the next couple days to...
CE Valk ID Help
Having trouble pinning down a Valk for a buddy. He actually had the dream we all have occur. He checked craigslist and responded to an ad. Paid $100 bucks for a box full of CE plastic. I'm trying to help him out even though I kind of hate him now. Anyways, Here are pictures...
I don't know what the wind conditions where in relation to the direction thrown but this is slow-mo video of a 555' throw for the win in the distance competition of the 2015 Oklahoma State Championships. Once again, the only listing of the results for this year I can find are on the group...
This is going back a few pages to where people were asking about pro women's distance. This is a screen cap of results from the 2013 Oklahoma State Championships. Jennifer Allen hit 381'. I'm almost positive she recorded 405' in 2014 but our club's link to that results page goes to 404...
Good points made about hitting shorter golf lines or throwing slower discs further being easier when you have perfected your form. I hadn't thought about it that way. I'll have to consider if I can stand by my philosophy that putting saves/costs more strokes than anything else.
Or local big arm...
The thing I go back and forth on is the divide between what is fun to work on and what benefits my game. Now that I can count on 350' every time, the quickest way to take strokes off my game would 100% be to do just enough field work to maintain that and then spend every other second of practice...
I think it would be tough to define what proper technique is. At what point can you say somebody has it?
I agree with HUB that somebody that has seriously looked into the mechanics of a throw, allowed other people to critique video of their throw and spends a couple days a week doing field work...
I'll always take an opportunity to recommend the book Golf Is Not A Game of Perfect. It helped me out quite a bit. I had a bad case of the yips at the beginning of the season. I finally broke down and bought the audio book after 4 putting in a sanctioned event. Shank from 5' out, shank the...
Excellent video. Hadn't seen that one before.
I'm thinking I will have to bring my initial step (right foot) further inside (left of frame) by about 6" to allow my rear to stay perpendicular to target through the x step. The video made it very clear that I don't have any way to load my hips...
