HOD 3/26/2023: Central Park Hole #10 Schenectady, NY

Hyzer a Destroyer from the blue tee, skip into the chains for an ace. Claim my first tournament ace, the MPO CTP prize, event ace pot, and another MPO win. Fail to repeat above strategy in subsequent years.

    Bag Interference

Rules question and Accolade opinion: Last week I was playing in a group of five when a unique situation happened. The incident involved two players; let's call them Player A and Player B. The last hole is a long par 4 that finishes with a hanging basket behind a giant barn. Player A saws off...

    Joralemon Park, Coeymans NY

J-Park Update Discap currently has $3570 earmarked for the upgrade of the existing baskets (total of 29). This is after one year (roughly) of fundraising. Fundraising will continue until we have enough to upgrade a full layout (preferably all 29). The expansion is being roughed in. Most...

Some player ranking statistics and thoughts on course design

I agree with SW22. A pro course can easily accommodate a rec tee layout and allow everyone to enjoy it. A short & tight course aimed at 850 rated players, however, will not offer as much to the same spectrum of players. I personally would like to see more challenging courses installed, but...

    First disc dye

Dyed my wife's favorite band for her for xmas. I first tried a design on a white pro roc and the plastic barely held any dye. Thought I was screwing something up, but the premium plastic works great. Looking forward to trying another in the future.

    Disc Golf Pro Tour

Perhaps I'm misunderstanding this, but wouldn't the outcome be the same with match play? If one bracket all shoots a hot round and the other is lackluster... how is it any better with match play? Personally I feel like match play is a different element. In stroke play everyone battles the...

    Disc Golf Pro Tour

This thread has drifted a little bit. Some of the discussion regarding entry fees and payouts isn't even applicable to the pro tour. Don't get me wrong, it's good discussion; but the pro tour is being built on already established tournaments that have proven to be successful in the past...

    Disc Golf Pro Tour

Yeah, I am wondering the same thing. These events have some capacity I would imagine. Unless I'm mistaken, this package deal bypasses tiered registration and the need to qualify. I'm assuming that the qualifying criteria for the 2016 Maple Hill Open will have to change...maybe not...

5.00 star(s) Hidden Gem in the Catskills It has everything. Wide open bomb holes, tight technical shots, monster mountain shots (up & down), shots over water, etc. Whatever you're looking for, it is at Mine Kill. The course has two tees and two baskets on every hole; allowing for 4 unique layouts. Most of...
