So this may be dumb but is it possible to bleach a disc in order to dye it a lighter color?

What's your primary method of removing some else's name from a disc you bought used? I've heard acetone but I wasn't sure if it might absorb into the disc and ruin it.

So would it be safe to say that a phase could easily replace my champ firebird?
