Awesome Pin Locations
JP is a nice open fairway course for the most part. But the pin locations on many holes make it more challenging than an other open fairway course I have ever player. Most of the time long drives on an open course can have you playing under par, but you better have an...

Not bad
VERY WELL LAID OUT!!! Great mix of open shots and lightly - moderately wooded shots.
Lots of short holes. It is part of a public park that has a cement trail that runs along most of it, so you have to wait for people to pass when the park is busy.
Play the drainage ditch as out of...

hot and windy
Lots of wide open shots through the front nine if you want to work on your driving or try out new discs. Very close to UNT for any students wanting to play regularly.
Great course for beginners.
The middle ten holes, there are not any trees, which means no shade in the summer and...

Good course. Lots of birdie-able par 3s. The creek provides some fun obstacles but is shallow and clear enough in most places that you can go in after a disc.
Rumor has it that many people play this course "backwards." I don't know how any one could truly play it in reverse...

Understatement
CHALLENGING!!! If you like a real challening course that demands high driving accuracy, play this course at Burns Park.
Very hilly and very wooded are understatements. When I was out there some holes were poorly marked.
Play the Burns park blue course while you are out there.

Great Dallas Course
One of the greatest varieties of holes I have ever seen on a course. Many open fairways but pin placements near trees allow you to drive with power, and then approach and putt with accuracy.
Signs are old, but don't really make it hard to find your way around the course...
Carrollton area. I play Greenbelt park the most. Lake Lewisville on weekday mornings, try to make it out and play Alex Clark and the new Towne Lake course in Mckinney at least twice a month. Also play LL Woods in Lewisville a few times a month.

OH YEA!!!
So many great things about this course. Holes 3 - 17 are completely secluded, nothing else around. Signs and markings are the best I have ever seen. Ways to play this course are limitless because of the two tees and most holes, as well as multiple pin placements on each hole.

Always fun
This course may be hilly and wooded, but fairways are open enough that it is enjoyable. There are always great people out there.
Hit a tree or get off a fairway and you are in trouble. Brush is very difficult to throw out of.
The holes on the lake can be stupid when it is windy, be...

Friendlier than the red course
This course is much friendlier than the Red course are Burns Park, but not easy. There is diversity between the holes, only a few are truly similar. Good mix of obstacles. Be careful not to throw over the fence between the course and I-40,
Be careful not to...

Beginner course
Easy par 3 course. I learned to play on this course. Lots of tall trees line the fairways so you can practice straight shots. Water hazards on a number of the holes, but nothing to daunting.
Parking area can be a pain when soccer games are going on.
Play the pro tees if you...
