    Finesse Midrange

Star Skeeter or a Champ Panther are nice choices for straight to anny lines also. The Skeeter will hold what you put on it and the Panther is indestructable.

    Finesse Midrange

I know it's been a long time for this thread, but I have to agree with Spike. The Aero is a great disc. I have 3 Star Aeros, all at 180 and they go where I throw. I may screw up where I throw, but they follow the line all the way to the ground.

Review by paul buyun in course Taylor Park

4.00 star(s) consistantly fun and challenging 1. Excellent new tee signs with great detail for pin placement, distances, and possible routes 2. Multiple pin placements on all holes for variety and challenge 3. Plenty of trees for shade, but can also get you in trouble if you have an errant throw 4. Local...

    Favorite Approach/Upshot Disc?

Star Aero. Holds any line you throw. If it doesn't go where you wanted it to, you threw it wrong.

[Innova] Is the Valkyrie on the "not cool" list? What gives?

I carry 3 champ valks, all 171g. For the tunnel shots, they are dead nuts straight, and the smooth left to right annys, money. I carry wraiths, too, but for the more open holes where you can grip it and rip it.

    Disc minimalism vs Mold minimalism

I have a 6 mold bag. Each individual mold is the same weight and plastic. I carry 15 individual discs. 3-Pro Wraith, 4-Champ Valk, 2-Champ Tbird, 2-Star Skeeter, 1-KC Pro Roc, 3-Star Aero. I could carry less discs, but I want to have backups in case I lose one (like I did with my perfectly...

    Disc Loyalty Pledges

The Aero stays. The Valk stays. The Teebird stays. The Wraith, Skeeter, and Roc...I will continue to throw, but I'm going to try some others and see what happens. I have read that an ESP Surge is like a seasoned Wraith and that sounds interesting, cause I really like my Pro Wraith. I might...

    consistently inconsistent

No way. I love the control. As an approach disc, it has tremendous glide, and will hold any line I put on it. For putting, same thing, great glide and control. It's the Indian, not the arrow. I need to practice more. Like I said earlier, when I practice, it shows. And my putting HAS...

    consistently inconsistent

I've been playing for about one and a half years now. I shot one down at my home course yesterday. I get to play, on average, about once a week. I know I need to practice more, putting especially, and when I do, I see the results. My original post was mostly a rant, but it's true...

    consistently inconsistent

My play can best be summarized as consistently inconsistent. And it drives me friggin' insane. I usually shoot plus 3 or 4, but I can also shoot even. If I could be more (positively) consistent, I could shoot even or even 2 to 3 down. I'm sure consistency is an issue for a lot of players...

    how much does weight matter?

This weekend I threw an even par round at my home course. I really worked on form and which disc to do the job for the hole I was on. I practiced my putting and it really showed on the course. I already have a couple of lighter weight discs (165 Pro Wraith and 165 Champ Valkyrie) that I...

    how much does weight matter?

My discs, drivers and mids, are around the same weights; from 170 to 175, while my putt/approach are 180. I wasn't sure how much difference a 5 to 10 gram change would make to the distance of the discs. I didn't think that I would feel much of a change in handling the discs, but would it be...

    how much does weight matter?

I agree with both of you. I think that I will keep the weights I'm throwing, and try to focus on form. I'm generally shooting plus 3 or 4, and it's usually my putting that is killing me, so form and snap and putting practice should be my priorities. Thanks for the input.

    The First Disc You Owned?

DX Valkyrie, max weight. Moved around to a variety of drivers experimenting. Now I'm back to Champion Valks. Great disc.
