I just started using a graboid. i like it a lot, but only use it for putting. I still use wizards for longer upshots and drives. I agree about the center of the disc being way too stiff and mainly the problem is that its slick. what I do is just spray a tiny bit of bug spray on em while i'm...
I've won only 1 sanctioned open event and it was pretty small. this year in open i've won about.... as much as i've paid in entry fees. last year i lost money, but i had just moved up from advanced. could be worse. and most of my disc golf knowledge comes from this forum, so i think that...
there was probably some sort of stipulation in his contract (unless innova is really dumb) that after so many years of not winning a title they have the option to buy him out for X amount. they wouldn't want to pay him til he's 90 or something. after a while he will be much less of a...
other companies have gummy runs and hard runs without changing the names of their plastic. that criticism is probably a bit unfair to tag only gateway with. I only throw gummy star max's, not the stiffer ones. i'm just glad they make gummy ones because they're great forehand discs.
Thats a favorite of mine, too. When i'm hot with my putter I feel like a real pro, not just donating one.
I also really enjoy a perfectly executed drive. when I do it exactly how i envisioned it, its usually an ace run too, which just adds to the euphoria.
I don't have a HUGE arm, but my...
i like the circles and also like the star without. either is fine. what i'm not sure about is having a big logo on front AND on back. a little too "sk8er" for my taste.
i say either... big logo on front, small logo on upper middle back -or- small logo on left or right chest, big logo on...
to get it past 320 you either need more D than you currently have or a great nose down throw. if you can't get the distance, i'd say keep another disc in the bag like a stalker for just the 320 to 350 range rather than risking an errant throw. or improve your D/form. easy right? :)
i don't like the grip of the demon, so i can't recommend it for that. but its based mostly on the dome, rather than the rim. the flights are comparable. demons are probably a bit more overstable and start fading almost immediately out of your hand. its not actually a lack of glide, because...
I actually wash my hands, and it eliminates the sweat problem for a few holes at a time. i take my bottled water and use a small amount to wash off the sweat and then a towel (not a shammie) to dry. then do the classic nikko disc fan of the hands and you're set. i don't do it in casual rounds...
i know what you mean about the sail effect, but i also agree with DaPats. its really pointless to worry about sail effect if you play the wind correctly. if you don't let the under side of your disc become exposed to the wind, you should have no problems. keep the same discs in your bag and...
i probably have more than most.
2 thumber discs - 1 finishes pretty straight or sometimes left if i want it to, and its also for distance. 1 finishes right and its for shorter thumbers and getting out of trouble.
1 overstable work horse driver - star max (used for forehands also)
1 overstable...
