Review by RollingStone in course Smash Park DGC

2.00 star(s) major local bias New baskets Hole 13 is a quality hole Very little poison ivy (which is unusual based on the handful of Michigan courses I've played). Course is totally unfinished. Stumps, lumpy faux turf tees, no real line on several holes etc. As others have said, mosquitoes and horse flies...

[MVP] MVP Disc Sports (Official Thread) (Part III)

I think he was referring to himself. And really, whining about corporations? Is this jam-band smokeout buzzword bingo? I have trouble understanding why you guys care if he likes the guy or not? Quite frankly, from the perspective of someone who rarely wastes time watching others play a...

Review by RollingStone in course Holler In The Hills

4.00 star(s) Fun, fun, frustrating, and fun! All basics are covered here. Parking, good tees, etc. Bonus items include significant elevation and water coming into play occasionally. Every hole will challenge you to bring your "A" game. There are easier holes, but no truly easy holes on this course...

Review by RollingStone in course Selah Ranch - Creekside

4.50 star(s) My Favorite Selah Course Wonderful amenities on site including a small pro shop, showers and bathrooms at the start of the course etc. Well designed within the land given, this course has a more natural feel that Lakeside. I'm not sure why I like it better, but I do. While I don't like the...

Review by RollingStone in course Selah Ranch - Lakeside

4.00 star(s) Maybe I'm crazy? Pro shop with a limited selection means that some discs can be replaced. I do not mean to sound like I'm damning this amenity with faint praise, given that most courses I've played over the years don't even have a pro shop. I just don't want people thinking they'll find...

    2013 Discraft Ace Race

I picked up a Zombee a couple months ago, and have loved it. I wish I'd played an Ace Race, because it seems like an interesting disc for that to me. Frankly I just didn't really see a hole in Discraft's midrange lineup that needed attention, and their putters seem pretty good too, so a...

Review by RollingStone in course Ephram White Park

3.50 star(s) Don't get the complaints... Long open holes that still require a good bit of control if you play by the OB rules, and especially if the wind is blowing. Solid good sized teepads allow big runups for those with the arm to take full advantage. Yes the course is open, and probably not much fun...

Would you dare throw this hole?

Wow, I'm sure sorry to hear about the flooding. I spend a couple weeks in Fargo a few years ago, and really liked the area. As far as playing near flood water, no thanks. God only knows what lovely little bacteria are floating around in that stuff.

Who do you want to play on DGCR!

Hopefully I'll get a chance to play with some of you guys in the future. I've loved being able to look at my travel schedule for the rest of the year and start picking out courses to try!

Review by RollingStone in course Idlewild

5.00 star(s) This baby is top notch! All basic amenities present in abundance! Multiple tees, pin placements, benches, trash cans, etc. Cleanest public course I've ever played by a fair margin! Attention to little details. Brick lined greens, astroturf greens, etc. Many small touches like this add up...

Review by RollingStone in course Simsbury DGC

4.00 star(s) Very good in almost every way! All basic amenities present. Solid disc shop nearby (this is a HUGE plus to me)! FUN course that has the best elevation changes of any Columbus course I have gotten to play This is an exclusively disc golf area, and gets less play than many other Columbus...

Review by RollingStone in course Blendon Woods Metro Park

3.00 star(s) Steady on Ed, steady on! A basic "Steady Ed" course. Short, fairly tightly wooded shots. Precision rather than raw power will be rewarded here. Solid place to work on putting, with 3 practice baskets available. Shelter house and open field make for a nice "driving range" to warm up. This...

Review by RollingStone in course Brent Hambrick Memorial DGC

4.00 star(s) Very nice course with a split personality. All basic amenities are present (Multiple concrete tees, multiple pin positions, adequate parking near the first hole, bathroom facilities, benches, trash cans, etc.) Nice layout that lets you warm up with 9 mostly open holes before you have to start...
