Yeah, looks like the Azle course is open now!

Azle Course It's pretty easy to get there if you exit like you're trying to get to city hall. Theres a parking lot right by the fields, the first tee is right by the lot. I saw it on Saturday, looks like it's getting pretty close. Maybe this weekend?

Exit's right off of Jacksborough Road. Exit like if you were trying to get to the hospital, then stay on the access road.

All the tee pads have been put in. No baskets as of a couple days ago. They expected to be done pretty quick though. Seems like it'll be alright. Not earth shatteringly great, but fairly decent.

I also hear Weatherford's working on getting a new course too? Anyone heard that?

Well, I walked through the proposed Azle course the other day. They have the land set, but they havent put in tee pads or baskets yet (but they're marked). Was fairly impressed. The first 13 holes or so are pretty solid - some decent shots with a decent sized creek behind them. The last few...

No, I just asked the parks director ;-) I live fairly close, so I may run by this weekend and see if I can see anything. If I can I'll provide a report ;-)

Yup, course coming to Azle in Ash Creek Park. 18 holes, scheduled to open in mid to late March.

In Azle?? For sure? Man that would make my day (fairly close to my house). Have any idea where??

Circle C is a great course...it's the only Austin one I've played. Not sure that there's a DFW course I like more

Hey, has anyone heard any rumors about the old Z Boaz municipal golf course? Someone at work had heard that the plans were currently for part of it to be a dog park, and part a DG course. I'm sure it's hearsay, but I wanted to check :-) Figure it's just a misunderstanding due to the Z Boaz name

Alright I have a question for you DFW-westsiders I've never played a tournament before, and I'm pretty terrible. But I'd like to try out a mini. Do any of the minis in the Fort Worth-Arlington area have divisions, or are they all open?

Hey, are there any big doubles tournaments in the DFW area? I know there are some minis, but I'm looking for one with divisions. See one in Austin in a few weeks, am wondering if we have them here
