My new favorite
Well manicured fairways.
Brooms at most tee boxes.
Pin placement changes regularly.
Multiple tee boxes on almost every hole.
Good mix of field and forest.
Good mix of technical and power drives required.
Friendliest players I've run into on any course.
It isn't closer...

Decent mix
Good mixture of open and wooded shots.
Lots of elevation changes, lots. Some view this as a con, but I consider it a pro if you like something different than the vanilla flat land courses.
A shallow stream running by a lot of holes gives a nice obstacle to keep in mind.

Leave plenty of time to play here
Beautiful area. You use all sorts of shots and discs. Very creative pin placements. Good mix of long and short as well as a good mix of technical and elementary shots needed.
It's kind of out of the way unless you are already passing through or are staying...

Be in shape for this bad boy
Supreme edge to those who can drive with accuracy. Good tee boxes. Easy to navigate. Underbrush is beat down well. Porta toilets at the parking lot are greatly appreciated with how far this is from a public bathroom. Friendly local players.

Challenging
Underbrush in the wooded areas is very thin. Gives you practice with both hyzers and anhyzers on drives and approaches. Moderate creativity used in designing this course. Great practice course for Richmond Hills in Asheville.
Too wooded for beginners with maybe 3 or 4 holes having...

Best course in the area
Paved tee pads. Easy to follow course once you know how to navigate from 1 to 2, then from 8 to 9. Excellent mix of long and short holes. Some really technical shots needed for some. A few holes you can literally just grip it and rip it (16 is a semi short par 4 on a...

Decent
Good mix of hole types. Predominantly wide open drive shots. Some uphill/downhill drive shots. A couple very technical putt shots will be needed. As another reviewer stated, power drives are definitely rewarded. Not even super power, just anybody who can semi accurately drive 350+...

Beginner course
Great for a beginner with very short holes.
Good warm up course if you want to play the WCU course 5 mins away afterward.
Good place to practice putting and approaches.
Too short for experienced players to have much fun beyond the first time. The last 6 holes are unplayable...

If you are desperate for a new course
First 5 or 6 holes are really fun and interesting. They allow for gutsy technical shots or safe lay ups. These holes are also well groomed.
Once you get in the woods, good luck. The tee boxes are hard to find, the signs are either vandalized or missing...
