I throw the roc and gator, but I really consider the gator a putter not a mid. I throw a lot of shots with it but none of them in excess of about 280 ft (usually less than 250). Also, nothing sidearms as reliably as a gator.
Generally I have not liked small diameter stable to understable...
If I were innova I would launch another US brand and keep developing new discs at all speeds. I would also put more money into "point-of-play" marketing.
Added some premium plastic versions of the same molds on top of dx. Switched teerexes for a star boss. Had 'em all on the reserve shelf so spent no money.

I would have to see their revenue and profitability figures to determine if Innova has sucked lately. I'm guessing they haven't sucked at all. If I had to invest in one the dg companies I'm pretty sure I know which one I would choose.
another option is the dx Firebird. It'll start as overstable but there is nothing like them as they break in.
Banshee is probably a good recommendation as well.
I use gators* all the time for shots you might not expect. Of course it does well on short hyzers, but I especially love it on hard, shorter annhyzers where failing to turn it or losing it to the right is very bad. Think GGP holes 10 and 14.
