Review by Sturmus in course Dineen Park - Old Layout

3.00 star(s) Long Lots of distance. You'll need to bring a ton of drivers as the course demands that you shape your shots. No two drives are the same, each drive requires a different amount of hyzer/anny to set yourself up for a good 2nd shot. For this reason I really like the course. Multi-use park, and...

Review by Sturmus in course Winnebago County Park - Green

3.50 star(s) Green is GREAT Nice mix of shorter shots and big bombs. Love how the tall grass shapes the fairways. NEVER busy. Good use of water and what few trees the course has. Nice tee-pads. Good baskets. Open year round. Not many trees. Tall grass can be difficult sometimes. This course is awesome...

Review by Sturmus in course Carly's Playground

1.50 star(s) Tallgrass Most physically demanding course I've ever played. Some spectacular views. Not busy. Great workout. Some really cool downhill holes. Nice elevation changes. Having 2 pads and 2 baskets on each hole is pretty cool. Course is SUPER hard to follow. I was very lost. Tee-pads are carpet and...

Review by Sturmus in course Dretzka Park

4.00 star(s) Milwaukee's Best 2 sets of tee-pads and 3-4 pin settings on each hole make this course one of the greatest around. Short pads to short pins are mostly around 300ft, but the holes are still challenging enough. Long pads to long pins and it becomes a totally different course, and a struggle to...

Review by Sturmus in course Vallarta-Ast DGC

5.00 star(s) One of WI's Best AMAZING. Course has been P2P for years and it shows. Most well groomed course around. Great mix of shots. The new 9 is Sweet! Very unique. Love the use of the sand bunkers Not usually busy, especially not as busy as the other Madison courses. Great facilities. Camping on...

Review by Sturmus in course Winnebago County Park - Yellow

4.00 star(s) Super cool 36 hole park with two separate 18 hole courses. Great baskets. Fantastic utilization of the limited obstacles the park has. Lots of distance with some shorter holes mixed in. Love the elevation changes. Some great par 4's. Difficult park, even though it's mostly open. The new signs...

Review by Sturmus in course Tendick Nature Park

4.00 star(s) Huge difference between long and short pads - love how much the long pad changes the shot. Two pins on every hole, very different placements. Good mix of open bombs and technical holes. P2P keeps most of the riff-raff away. Very well maintained P2P. Some of the long tee-pads are too unfair...

Review by Sturmus in course Estabrook Park

2.00 star(s) OK Good beginner course. Left handed players dream. Not very long, so you don't have to tire out your throwing arm. Short course with repetitive shot types and distances, so you don't have to lug around a heavy bag with a bunch of discs. Super short course that can be played without a driver...

Review by Sturmus in course Lime-Kiln Park

3.50 star(s) Fantastic 9! A good amount of elevation change for a 9 hole. Great variety of shots. Extremely pretty course that plays right next to a river. Usually not to busy. Not many cons. It has nice signs, and good pads. I guess a con would be that the pads are a little short, but they don't need to...

Review by Sturmus in course Spassland DGC

1.50 star(s) Boring 9 Great course to for beginners. All holes are less than 300. Accurate signs. Concrete pads. Never busy. Nice baskets. Even has some elevation! Not many obstacles in the way. Very short. Can get super swampy, usually drys out around July, but can be difficult to play without getting wet...

Review by Sturmus in course Village Park

1.50 star(s) Rather lame. Some super long holes. Hole 1 is a cool downhill. That's about it. It's possible to score well there as it's very easy. Boring course. Nothing special. Holes are repetitive and straight. Some enjoy the course, I Really hate it.

Review by Sturmus in course Riverside Park DGC

3.50 star(s) Good course Nice mix of shots. Long bombs, short curves, and wooded shots. Long tees are good shots; short tees are short. Course can get very busy during peak hours. About 1/2 are concrete, 1/2 are not. Good course to play if you're in the area.

Review by Sturmus in course Riverside Park DGC

2.50 star(s) Nice Park Runs along the Fox River, with a few cool holes. The park is really nice, and not very busy. Very nice amenities. Great beginner course. Mostly short. Easy to lose discs in the river on a few holes. If the park is being used, some holes can become a bit dangerous.

Review by Sturmus in course Brown Deer DGC

4.50 star(s) Brown Deer is GOLD GREAT! Incredibly challenging course. A few 500+ holes, and a bunch of holes in the 400's. A good mix of very tight wooded holes (some of which are very long) and some nice open bombs. It can be difficult to find your way around without a guide, but it's not impossible...

2013 DG Tour - Minneapolis and Northern Wisconsin

Bugs shouldn't be too bad in September, but it depends on if we get a frost or not. I can't speak to the MN courses on your list, but here's my take on some of the WI ones you have listed. I've never been the biggest fan of the Brickyard in Menomonee, WI - I just don't think it's worth playing...
