Bugs shouldn't be too bad in September, but it depends on if we get a frost or not. I can't speak to the MN courses on your list, but here's my take on some of the WI ones you have listed. I've never been the biggest fan of the Brickyard in Menomonee, WI - I just don't think it's worth playing...
