Lots of variety. Scenic. Front 9 is much cooler than the ambient temperature.
The course is challenging and the stream (canal) is next to it which keeps it cool. Also, if you throw it in the "stream", you can just go in and get it out as it isn't deep.

Great course! Lots of variety. Some tunnel shots, many holes are blind or overgrown foliage in the way.
Good mix of distance and shot difficulty. No hazards except for the road which is somewhat in play on 2-3 holes.
Plan on being there for 2-3 hours your first time there as the holes...

How far?
Golf cart. For $10, you get a golf cart to drive in and you can play both front and back courses if you want. The cart is especially nice since it can be very hot in the summer. Tees are nice and grippy. Grass throughout, easy on discs.
