Could it be solved with a distance metric? A 5892 foot 18 hole par 54 course is 327 feet per hole, 109 feet per stroke. If we used 80 feet per stroke that would make it a par 73 averaging 4 strokes a hole. The distance per stroke could be played with but you would at least have a system that...

I wouldn't sign if the person is just Ace shopping. We have an 85 foot open field hole here that people just throw their stack of putters at. That just counts as a nice shot.

There answer is too course specific to give meaningful data. Star Wraith Champ Roc3 Star aviar I wouldn't be comfortable with a lot of shots but could "play" any course.

Seems like it's the classic sports contact gambling. Making the safe bet on a certified pro vs getting an up and comer on a multi year contract.
