Im not sure last time I was at the Nati they had a board of events they were doing this year and State championships were on it, but no date. You could probally call fred to get a better answer the nati number is513-541-7305. Or leave a message at cincinnatidiscgolf.com
That's pretty cool. I don't recall when I picked it up...its a Condor and I don't think Condors are that old...i'd have to check to be sure.
hey Wyatt, see you made a bit of a trip to the Sinks and what not. I liked that one a lot; as you did; though, one thing you didn't mention; is that as a player playing the course without knowing it; the sink holes are completely random. Our group of three put three in sink holes when it was too cold to retirieve them; though, one of our group did strip down to his underwear and get one back. :) He did nearly give himself frostbite though! Looking forward to seeing you at Southern Outlaw. PM me if you have any interest in joining for an eastern journey after that event; as Eric and I an a couple of others will be headed over Charlotte way; and we are still looking for contestants.
are you talking about goat path for this year or outlaw? I'm guessing it'll be pretty ticky by April. I think we went at the end of march last year and it was fine. Re: your trip between stl and minneapolis...what's ur route? I'd recommend foundation park on the way over to stl. i'd also recommend collinsville blues. Then, once in stl my personal favorite order goes sioux pass, jb, endicott, then on your way out you can hit quail. If you're going up I35 to go north, once you're in Iowa, I'd hit a bunch in the des moines area...there's big creek, walnut, ewing...there's the one in indianola, grandview is an oldie but a goodie. Then in ames (my old college stomping grounds) there is carroll marty which is a fun course but not all that in the wow dept. Let me know your actual route and I can recommend others.
you might want to talk to scott bateman about old english...seems to have changed management now and they arent as friendly to dgers. 20 bucks for no cart use, and only 1 round and the course will probably end up getting pulled :( it's a shame that was one of my favorite dg experiences
yo wyatt you should give me like a week advance notice before you come to centralia and I'll move all the pins to "b". We'll play the longs so you can see foundation in all its 10000 glorious feet.
what has two thumbs, got drunk last night and forgot to register for the pumpkin shoot out? This guy! I tried at like 11:30 and it was already waiting list
yeah sorry man, I think it was like 3 weeks ago. Sort of on a whim. Next time I'll hit you up as it jumped to near the top of my list as well...it's a shame you didnt make it up to centralia when you hit paducah...only 1.5 hrs from there :) you playing pumpkin shootout?
Thanks, man. Yeah, Va-Du-Mar was pretty cool. Definitely some eyesore issues during springtime when I was there, but I'm sure with the full leaves out that it's quite pretty. :)
Oh, and come down to the Orange Peel in Asheville for Zappa does Zappa! Sept 7th - Here's the link.
Wish we could've played Holler together Weeman, but as you saw, my crew is VERY casual :) I'm the only disc junky of the bunch, but I set up this shindig every year for us just to go throw some new courses and dink around. I loved Holler, not so much Idlewild though. I will write that review tonight hopefully.
The guys flipped out over Holler, so were going to do BG next year, and I'll DEFINITELY hit you up for that, as I will want to play more than they will.
The gnome course is a private course called Ramcat Ridge in NC. The owner is a super cool guy named Jamie, and he had those gnomes scattered half-hidden all over the place. Really neat place, very quirky, AWESOME course. I've never seen rollaways of such magnitude before, lol.
Sunday looks like the best weather. But I will probably be home all weekend. You can always call my cell 270-528-6489. I am home most of the time except when I drop off/pick up my daughter at school.
Just finished Freeman Lake and Goat Path today, working on Holler as we speak. I'll finish them up tonight and post them tomorrow shortly after I get to work, probably 4pmish.

The whole trip was a blast. Couldn't have gone better as far as logistics, fun, all the awesome people we met.
Dude, thanks for the Holler tour! I (obviously) didn't have any clue that was you. :\

Had a great time, we'll have to do it all again sometime!
