I saw your review of Bertrand Pk, that was my 1st course too, way back in '85/'86. Were you a student at ND or SM's? I'm a SB native and went to ND and moved to the east coast in '90.
Going out to Dorey now. Eating dinner with my mom at 7:30 so probably leaving the course around 6:30. Maybe I'll see you at the tail end. Have a great round if I don't see you.
Threw alright but that is not the story of the day. Let me preface this by saying I am not sure about your religious persuasion and do not mean to insult.

This guy caught up with me after hole 5 and wanted to link up. He was full of questions. He told me he taught seminars. When asked what kind of seminars he told me ones addressing "the glory of god." My stomach sank and I thought about running. I tried to get past the subject but a few holes later he asked me if I considered myself a good person. I answered yes and asked him the same. He replied no and went on to explain how the ten commandments are god's revelation to man and in God's eyes we are all damned. After hole 18 he excitedly revealed to me the secret to avoiding hell. A lawyer (his term), named Jesus Christ. He claimed the consistencies of the scripture proved authenticity of the Bible. We parted on good terms and he gave me a card. Weirdest round ever.

Playing tonight at Bryan around 5:30 if you are interested.
I would like to thank all the helpful guys I ran into at Gillies Creek today for pointing me in the right direction on such a confusing course. Zack & Stu and all the rest. If you're reading this...Thanks!
yeah, try to get out there as much as you can if its not every day....you can always practice throwing in your apartment also...just practice your release while throwing the disc towards your couch or something...if its big enough that is lol...
yeah, short game > long game in my opinion, basically the easiest way to improve your putting is muscle memory and practice...from about 10' out hold 5 putters in your hand and just drill them one after another for a few times to get your muscles to "remember that motion" it also helps to have your own basket or something you can throw at every day..practice putting half hour a day for a month and I promise you will see a HUGE difference..
practice, practice, practice some more! I had the same issue but now I can land them consistently 25' in...get on flyingdiscmagazine.com and print out some perfect putt 360 scorecards and play that...where exactly do you live? I seen you play bertrand quite a bit...you going to be there at the tourney this weekend?
Nice review. That course needed a good write up and great job on the photos too. Thanks and welcome to the site!
