I appreciate and value your response. You are right politics have nothing to do with the subjective raw ratings of the course. It was just hard to volunteer in the building of this "temporary" course and see all the effort and years it took just to get a few practice baskets in the ground. It's not great but a step in the right direction, hopefully the city will work with Jon Bird and plant the 120 trees Jon intended to buy and make a "true course."

I'll start by saying I agree with you on Valmont. It's a very fun local course that's a great approach practice. I think your rating is spot on, but disagree with one thing. The courses are to be rated subjectively, and while I know there was a lot of effort put into gettin this course, that doesn't make it a better course. It's also worth noting that the first review was done before concrete tees and before 1-7(?) were in. I can see it being pretty dismal then. Again, I enjoy the course and completely agree with your review, but wanted to put my 2 cents in. Fair winds, and maybe I'll see you out there!!
