I was out there Saturday, and even with all the rain we have had, the course was almost completely dry. I was quite surprised, but I guess with the high heat, it dried out pretty good. The only holes that really get wet are #5, 6, and 14. The rest of the course drains quite well, since it runs right next to a branch of the river. Even though its close to the river, it doesn't come into play at all.
Just let me know what day is good for you. The only day we can't play is August 28th, because they are having a tournament out there that day. I wish I could play in it, but I just can't swing it this year. Its either play in the tournament, or put the money towards some expensive walking shoes that I want, so I would rather have the shoes for my birthday in September. Plus, I didn 't play from Memorial Day, till last weekend, so I am outta practice. I got hurt at work, so I had to take some time off from playing.

Kingwood has changed since Ike hit. Hole #5 has the most changes, and has really opened up. #6 and #11 also got some changes, and they have been taking out some trees because of a bark beetle, so because of that #14 has also opened up. They have also put up signs to help direct you from one hole to the next. Let me know when ever you want to go out there. I would be happy to show you around and play a round with ya. I work at night, so I can play 3-6pm Monday throught Friday, and Saturday and Sunday after 12pm. Just let me know. Its not that far from you , and its a fun course to play.
