One of the more scenic courses that I have played, also one of the worst maintained.

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 26, 2023 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

+The course is just up the hill from one of the world's largest lakes. It either borders or utilises land from Cascade River State Park. It is extremely scenic.
+Lots of elevation change. The course starts just a bit higher than lake level and all the holes feature elevation change, some significant.
+Lots of trees for challenge. Stream running through the course. Some rocky areas.

Cons:

-Baskets are homemade and are falling apart.
-Tees aren't marked. Used Udisc to throw from a general area that I thought the tee should be.
-Technically pay to play but I haven't both times that I've been here.
-There is no maintenance to this course and there appears to have never been much. It's an afterthought.
-No signage
-Navigation is really tricky but use that other app, there is a layout on there.
-Easily could lose a disc. Even with a decent shot.
-There are reasonably natural lines for most holes but some definitely could use some trimming to make it more reasonable. Some lines are just tight or have a branch or two that need to go.

Other Thoughts:

-Have played here two summers in a row. Mostly just because I was already visiting the State Park and it is right next to that. It's a nice enough area to hike around even if the maintenance of the course sucks.
-It's the only course for miles in every direction. It's barely better than nothing.
-There was a report on udisc of the baskets being pulled not long after I was there but there's another report a few months later that says they are not. One of these years, the rugged North shore weather will finish reclaiming this course but for now, it's technically playable.
-Course baggers only. Don't go here expecting a normal round of disc golf.

Out of the way 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 6, 2008 Played the course:once

Pros:

It is a course in an area where there aren't many courses. There is a nice creek running through the course and the land is very scenic.

Cons:

Had a very difficult time finding this course. Heard it was originally in a nearby state park and then forced to move as it was causing erosion and tree damage. Confusing layout. Course loops back on itself and uses the same basket for two different holes. Dirt tees and homemade hanging (and swinging) baskets. The fairways are not mowed throughout and the grass can be very long. One hole's fairway (not rough) had grass and weeds almost 4 feet high. Makes finding even nice drives very difficult.

Other Thoughts:

The area here is very beautiful and could make for a very nice course. Although it is really out of the way and not maintained.
