Not even a complete course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 27, 2012 Played the course:once

Pros:

There are baskets
There are a few signs showing tees

Cons:

There are only 4 baskets on this field

The sign that marked tee #1 is no where near where it shows on the course map (#1 actually tees off slightly above where the map shows tee #3)

The course map shows tee #1 to be just East of the track, yet that entire area is fenced off, and not playable.

The few signs that are there don't make any sense regarding where, or which basket, you're supposed to throw to. Some are sideways. One shows a path right next to the tee area, yet the only path is almost 200 feet away from that tee sign.

The course map doesn't even match any of the signage that remains on the field

Other Thoughts:

I attempted to play this course today, and gave up after throwing 3 times.

I found baskets numbered 7,8,and 9, and very few signs telling where to tee off from, and which direction to throw.

If I wanted to practice throwing, or putting, this might be a good place to do so, but for playing a round of DG? Not good at all.

basic school course in open field 2+ years

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Aug 24, 2009 Played the course:once

Pros:

-Its a disc golf course
-Decent enough tees and boxes.
-Gets the sport out to kids
-Good for testing new discs and practicing.
-Adequate bathrooms and parking.

Cons:

-Currently construction all over the course.
-Short.
-Not that easy to navigate.
-Not challenging or interesting
-Flat school grounds, not prime for disc golfing.

Other Thoughts:

This course might be better if there are more trees and the future. The construction makes it barely playable. The google map directions are incorrect, just follow the signs for Foley public schools and you will see the course eventually.

Construction 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 10, 2009 Played the course:once

Pros:

This course is great to just throw. You don't have to worry about too many trees, or obstacles.

Cons:

The area is under construction. I have no clue as to when they are going to be finished. Some of the holes and tee boxes are not there because of the construction. Also the 9th hole basket is bent.

As for what is left of the course it is short. The holes are not real long (right around 250 feet or shorter). There are no obstacles for the holes they have.

Other Thoughts:

Once construction is complete, this will be a great place to teach someone to play. However I think they should do some moving of baskets and tees to make it more of a challenge.

Simple yet progress 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 26, 2007 Played the course:never

Pros:

Clean course allows for smooth, unblocked throws. New baskets and tees.

Cons:

No wind resistance, open to the elements. No sense of direction, meaning you have to search for the next tee. No pro tees

Other Thoughts:

As a new course behind a high school, you shouldn't expect a whole lot. But it shows dedication and growth, even when a course is out in a field. A seasoned player may be disapointed, but open minded players will respect this course as progress.
