Camper Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 14, 2013 Played the course:once

Pros:

Easy navigation around the course. The holes are pretty midranged and you have to throw over water a couple times.

Cons:

Very short and the course map is kinda wrong but semi helpful. no baskets or tee pads. you throw to a short yellow post.

Other Thoughts:

Not worth any sort of a drive to go play. Really only for the people who are camping and looking for something to do during the day. This is a great beginner course except for the fact there are no baskets.

Still not sure I understand 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 23, 2012 Played the course:once

Pros:

Assuming you were camping anyway and you didn't go out of your way, you'll have a laugh trying to figure out what the park was thinking.

Cons:

H'ok. So. To say this is the sorriest excuse for a disc golf course is assuming it can be called a course at all.
For starters, don't look for baskets. Look for nonchalant, short yellow poles - these are the pins.
Then, you may miss the starting point because the sign/map are not pointing in the direction you'll be driving and even when you find them, they are incorrect.
After you suspend your disbelief, you can play for the heck of it - throwing from pole to pole, which are parred with 5-year-olds in mind.
On top of all this, the "pin" placements are moronic. Some are near campsites, some near a playground, and number 9 is literally on the edge of a small gully that will punish even the slightest overthrow. Luckily, it is a par 6, which I hit in two.

Other Thoughts:

My friend and I only played the first nine (I think), which are considered the easy nine. We laughed in disbelief at every hole. I even "aced" hole two, but feel like I can't even count it.
Like the other reviews say, if you are already camping and have nothing else to do and want a little chuckle, then check it out. Otherwise, don't waste your time.

Fun if you are camping 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 31, 2007 Played the course:never

Pros:

It is something to do with the whole family when you are camping at a great state park. Short course so everyone can play.

Cons:

Wooden stakes for baskets that are pretty hard to hit. Not well marked. Short course.

Other Thoughts:

This is the course that got me into disc golf. My brother in law and I would play every time we went camping in this park. It is fun for beginners and something for the whole family to do. If you are camping it is a must but don't travel for this one. If the park wanted they could take down these 18 and put in a nice 9 holes but doubt that will happen.

Even if your there - Not worth it 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 1, 2005 Played the course:never

Pros:

Well, you still have to throw a disc. Better played with a mini.

Cons:

Everything!!! The only reason why I played is that my parents were camping there. The stakes in the ground are about 2 feet tall. Actually kind of hard to hit with a putter from a distance.

Other Thoughts:

Play it with a Mini and it's kinda fun
