Improved, but still a LONG way to go 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 4, 2011 Played the course:once

Pros:

-The best thing I can say about this "course" is that if you're a North Greenville Student it is better that not having one at all.
-Parking is available close to baskets.
-There are a total of 18 white tee signs, so it can be played as an 18-hole course.
-The course has upgraded to 5 innova skillshots since the previous review, so that's a step up. Each basket has 3-4 tees that play to it.

Cons:

-First thing that jumps out at me is that there are no permanently installed baskets. I came on a windy day and 3/5 of the baskets were down (see photo). It would help some if they were at least anchored down...
-Poor use of land available. The course plays in an open field near the athletic complex. There are wooded areas on either side of the field that seem to be owned by the University. This course would vastly improve if it offered more challenge than distance in an open field.
-No elevation and little obstacles other than small trees scatted about.
-No tee pads or real markers where the tees end (sign only).
-This course lacks amenities such as bathrooms, benches, water, etc.

Other Thoughts:

I went back and forth between giving this "course" a 0 or 0.5 rating and finally decided on .5 discs. This is just a bad course, but it does offer a space for students to play. I would have given it a 0.0, no question, but improvements seem to have been made since the previous review ( tee signs, added baskets). This course now has an average rating of .25 which is exactly what it should be. Hopefully, North Greenville will continue to make improvements and be open to suggestions from the disc golf community. Otherwise, Furman is just down the road and is a much better option if you're in the area.

Not a course 2+ years

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Jan 18, 2010 Played the course:once

Pros:

Only 2 good things about this course:
3 practice baskets to work on putting.
I get to mention kopps park in a review and pick on Harr01440.

Cons:

This was just 3 Innova disc catchers thrown in a feild with no tee pads, no signage, no foiliage, no elevation, NO REASON TO COME.
course was muddy and slippery. hole 2 and 3 throw toards a parking lot and road, creating a small risk for cars.
the Innova skillshots are not in great shape.

Other Thoughts:

These baskets are not secured and will likely be stolen and this course will become extinct.
I
Course is now listed as a practice course along the same lines as Kopps Park 2 holer.
If you go to this school you know you have a practice spot, but do not travel here.
This course is no different than when two of my friends and I get out practice baskets out and make up a course.
