Pros:

Makes great use of surrounding fixtures/trees.
Cement tees
Park well maintained
Not too hard, good practice
Provides a quick game to get it out of your system

Cons:

Holes overlap each other causing "air traffic" with other players.
Holes cross sidewalks, making pedestrians common on the course
Short distances.
10th/final hole is confusing; most people end up throwing at the 6th hole.
Noisy; popular pool right next to course

Other Thoughts:

I live in this town so I play it a lot. I've gotten used to the cons and always enjoy playing it. It makes for good practice. But it's really nothing to go out of your way to visit.

Pros:

Well designed tee shots. Somewhat challenging, technical layout on almost every hole. Decent upkeep. Cement tee pads.

Cons:

The course is located within a small city park, so you must be conscious of other activities as well as other throwers. This course offers some technicality but lacks distance, so if you are looking for some longer holes and open tee shots try the course on the other side of town in barstow park.

Other Thoughts:

The original hole #1 has been taken out and the first tee is now located by the horseshoe pits right along plum st. which was previously hole #2.
This course is probably the best you'll find between Sioux City and Sioux Falls. Yankton has a few courses that are worth checking out but they lack character and become boring easily due to the monotony of the hole designs.

Pros:

Some well placed trees make the course deceptively difficult.

Cons:

It is very short. Other than the last hole (which only has the possibility of being two shots to the basket if you aren't strong off the tee), every basket is more than within range of a its respective tee box.

People Everywhere 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 16, 2010 Played the course:once

Pros:

-Hole 4 throws over the amphitheater to a guarded basket, you're not going to see holes like this too often.
-Baskets are high quality
-Tees are in good shape and are big enough
-Posts mark the tees and some are still legible with maps, distance, par, etc.
-Last hole is pretty long and somewhat challenging.
-Good place for ace runs and a chance for a low score
-A few trees here and there, not too heavily wooded make this a good place for beginners
-If you do have kids/a family the pool, picnic facilities, etc can be a good thing.
-No chance to lose discs.
-Close to University of South Dakota's campus.

Cons:

-Big pool, picnic shelters, amphitheater, near campus, etc make this a not so peaceful place for disc golf. You are going to have to wait to throw here and there especially during the summer.
-Not too challenging. Overall kind of short and not too many obstacles in the way.
-Layout isn't the best, holes are crammed into too small of an area and this causes confusion. I drove towards the wrong basket 2-3 times and went back to re-do the hole. There is also some extra walking that could be eliminated.
-Fairly busy with disc golfers.

Other Thoughts:

Both courses in Vermillion are about the same quality in my opinion. That quality is not high. This course really isn't good or bad, it is what it is. Yankton has a better course ~25 miles away. There really isn't a lot to offer as far as disc golf courses in this area.

Busy Little Place, but not for DG 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Mar 28, 2010 Played the course:once

Pros:

This 10 hole course is a simple little layout in a small park in the middle of a residential area. It does have cement tee pads and wood posts marking the holes. Hole #3 has you shooting around or over a small amphitheater type seating area. There are a couple of protected pin locations here and some manmade obstacles. This place does have a bathroom, some trashcans and a disc golf sign.

Cons:

#1 tee is located by left of the main sign by the corner of the pool. The tee post is missing, but the tee pad can be found. The park is very flat and the holes are not very difficult. A map may actually be needed just to make sure you are throwing at the correct basket. When the pool is open and the kids are here this is going to be one of those courses where you will have to wait to throw to avoid people.

Other Thoughts:

The Fun Factor was not really good. I enjoyed throwing on #3, but that really was the only highlight. I am happy that they put the course here, because its a good starter for people who have never played before. However, this really isn't a stopping location for regular players.
