Not a fan of having high pars. I like tough birdies. And the birdies on these felt like a par personly. They have a par5 385ft hole... A little high IMO

Locals were helpful

-Very good mix of shots needed to score well, backhand, flicks, tomahawks are all called for on certain holes if you're going to deuce

-There are a solid mix of lengths as well, some holes are smack in front of you with no obstacles while others are 500ft away with woods lining one side of the hole

-Great deuce opportunities, especially on the front 9, mixed with some holes on the back 9 where you're happy to have scored a 3

-Scenic park, nice pond, pavilion, gazebos, walking paths

-There are walkers, but typically not overcrowded or leaving disc players waiting to shoot for the pedestrians to get out of the way

-Nice teepads, all cement, fairly sized so no issues with length or width when driving

-I'd say two really feasible ace opportunities (Holes 4, 7). Holes 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 10, 17, 18 are all ace-runs without needing an insanely good shot.

-Challenging elevation changes on some holes make for unique shots. A few times you're shooting downhill (holes 4, 11, 13, 17) and a few of times you're shooting uphill (holes 1, 6, 8, 14). Makes for some interesting elevation putts as well

-Good sign out front of hole 1 for visitors to take a picture of before they play so they don't get too lost

-course holds up fairly well to bad weather. You'll only have problems traveling on holes 3, 4, and 5 after significant precipitation

-This is not a beginner friendly course. It's not insanely hard but there are too many hills / valleys / trees for a new player to not hold up the group while playing. If you bring a beginner, only play holes 1-13

-Can be congested with a lot of groups playing at peak times, it's a popular course and area

-Holes 9 through 13 have some overlap on them, sharing some hill and trees, just be careful of the groups around you during this portion of the course

-There are a few danger spots to lose your disc (even when you had a good/decent shot), these are specifically at:

Hole 6 in the woods - it will roll down the hill into the creek

Hole 8 - the blind shot over the hill can roll all the way down to the parking lot, or get lost in the woods to the left

Hole15 - you're throwing parallel to the building, most common shot is a forehand flick, if it hits the hill short and hard it will fly straight down the hill and into the pond

16 - dense growth before the hole, obvious when you see it

17 - same dense growth as hole 16, but you also have a forest to your left if you throw too much hyzer

This is a great place to play at. Whether it be for a practice round or a full-blown tournament, Prospect won't let you down. Don't be entirely surprised when you lose a disc if you've never played here before. This course works well for a multiple course, multiple round disc day as well, as there are about 8 other disc golf courses within 30mins of Prospect. Camden I and Camden II are only about 10-15mins away from Prospect Park. Playing all three of these make for a great combination.

I have never played a disc golf course quite like this one... as the title indicates, it was unique and had a lot of really fun traits that made for a great round!

*Though I've played courses with significant elevation changes, this course made extremely interesting use of the hilly terrain it was given. I found myself being forced to throw shots that i didn't even realize i was capable of!

*Lots of disctance variety! Deuce opportunities are out there, mixed with some HUGE BOMBS.

*Though there are lots of trees on the course, this one isn't really "wooded," so you'll be presented with challenging lines, and an errant shot will likely cost you, but you won't be digging your way through thornes and branches.

*Great park! Well maintained and very scenic with lots to do (this is also listed as a con for a few reasons)

*Hole 7 was weird... the sign said that the hole was 282 feet into the woods, but the actual pin was located about 100 directly in front of the teepad. I'm assuming that the sign was/is at one point correct, but at its current location, this hole is one of the only things holding this course back. It doesn't have a place on any disc golf course anywhere... i hope they fix it.

*Though it is a nice park, this course makes no real effort to isolate itself from the other things going on here... comes off as very congested.

I highly recommend this course for its uniqueness. Though it's not as epic as some of the Quad City courses, it will be unlike any course you've played before.

Excellently maintained, well marked tees & baskets, difficult shots on all types of terrain - I especially enjoyed (was frustrated by) the lateral sloping holes

Path from basket 5 to tee 6 could be better marked - I lost track of the fact that 6 was behind 3 and therefore skipped 6 & 7.

One of the best courses I played in a 2-week marathon while on a business trip

awesome course would be perfect for a group to have a nice relaxing round with just enough to make a little challange

1) This is a really fun course to play. There is so much variety, there are short tight wooded holes, there are longer open holes, there are plenty of large mature trees to knock your disc down.

2) These are some of the biggest concrete tees I have played on and they are grooved which really helps with slipperiness. Theu have just enough bite to plant your foot, but you can still spin out without breaking an ankle.

3) There is a nice entrance sign to the park showing the layout of the park and course.

4) The tee signs ont his course are absolutely golf course quality. They show the fairway, the basket locations and also the surrounding obstacles. It shows the Hole #, the distance and the wonderful diagram. It also has a seperate sponsor sign underneat the tee sign.

5) Benches and garbage are available in multiple places on this course and that is appreciated because it is a tough walk with some large hills to go up and down.

6) No profanity sign is visible . . . gotta love Iowa (oh wait this is Illinois). Must have been complaints from the homeowners right next to the course as it was also apparent those homeowners did not want disc golfers ont heir property whatsoever. Maybe Wareagle lived here and he runs out grabs your disc and sells it on ebay.

7) Elevation on this course is used very well. There are some big up hillers, some big downhillers, and plenty of sidehill shots. I love the variety on this course period.

8) Disc golf seems to be removed from most other activities except the walking trails.

1) Safety seems to be an issue on this course as you throw perilously close to a couple areas where people park (like #13 and #18). There are walkpaths all throughout this course and seem to be a popular place for people to do their midday walks. The paths wind throught he course and are all over!

2) Erosion and compaction seem to be a big problem here especially around the teepads. Perhaps they didn't ever repair the turf around the concrete pads and the erosion simply continues, because the pads are big enough that the erosion and compaction shouldn't be as big of an issue as it seems to be here. Although I suppose the ground here probably isn't the healthiest, since it is virtually the Mississippi bluffs.

3) This course is a tough walk. Not really a negative for me because it is awesome disc golf but many people would not enjoy the ups and downs here. Not only are a couple severe but they also seem to be safety issues with thin turf and slippery slopes.

4) Not really a beginner friendly course because it presents a challenge on every shot basically. There isn't really a single simple hole where a bad shot cannot turn really bad.

5) Variety of hole distances is a little lacking. Although there are a couple longer holes, 14 holes are all virtually the same distance. The hills help to make a few holes longer or shorter than they are listed.

This is a pretty solid course. Maintenance seems to be a little lackluster because the erosion and compaction seem to be the biggest issue and not much seems to be done about this. The turf was mowed and some of it would be tough to mow.

There was some sort of old time band wamring up in the main pavilion when I was here so it seemed to me that this is one active park.

This is a well designed course in an awesome disc golf area. The Quad Cities certainly surprised me with how great their courses were. It underwhelmed when compared to West lake and Camdens, but still was an above average course. It is is a great course with great variety, and was fun to play. I will be back if I am in the area.

- Course is set in a public park with tons of other activities for other park users. For the most part, the disc golf is far enough away from the lake and pavilions and such where it is not a big deal.
- This park is nothing but hills. Almost every single hole, start to finish, uses the rolling hills to make things tough. This includes shots straight up and down hills, up the sides of hills, and the horrendously sloping greens at the end. There are some very, very fast greens, seemingly more vertical than flat at some parts. A few holes have major slopes directly behind the basket, in addition to left or right.
- Good use of mature trees in a lot of spots to take away easy routes. This, in combination with controlling the landing spot (and disc angle at contact with the ground), makes for some very tough line shaping. What I mean is, it can be easy to avoid the trees, it can be easy to choose a landing zone, but doing both can be very tricky.
- A small forest in one section of the park definitely helps to mix things up. Much tighter lines to hit, still with some good elevation changes. Having a straight shot is key above anything else, however you can do it.
- Excellent teepads, baskets, and tee signs. Some really nice stonework around a couple of the teepads in particular. Overall, park is maintained very nicely. Navigation is pretty easy without any help.

- While the course has fantastic elevation changes, the overall length of the holes are on the shorter side. There are a few where a strong putter shot will zoom right past the basket. This is a great challenge of touch, but it is sad that are only a few spots to really bomb with the elevation. Just personal preference, really, some might enjoy the shorter hole lengths with the hazardous slopes.
- A few holes are very close to the road or walking path; especially at the base of many hills. Could be possible conflict between discs and park users/pedestrians/passing vehicles.

- This course is a clinic in accuracy, especially in terms of distance and even the flight path of the disc. Controlling where, and how, the disc lands is absolutely crucial to stay put on the steep slopes. This carries over to the putting game as well; many times laying up is the only smart option. Combine those two things together, and scoring well can be a major challenge. Some easier holes, and some longer holes, are sprinkled in to keep things interesting; a good overall variety of woods, trees, and some more open holes.

Absolutely beautiful park. You can tell the city spends some $$ here. Small "lake" (pond), couple of other structures, ball field, basketball courts, small playground, and a walking path. Nice helpful tee signs. Benches here and there to sit down and rest. Trash cans located around park. Clean, really clean and well maintained. Really looks like somebody takes good care of this park.

Big tee pads. Lots of elevation, which in some way is present on every hole. If you're not throwing up, down, or over elevation changes, your pin is located on the side of a hill, making your short game very challenging. Epic view of the river valley walking towards the pin on 15.

Location of park? As great as this park is, the park does seem to be surrounded by houses, and from the No Trespassing signs, it looks like they don't appreciate discs in their yards. I don't fault them, if a disc hit my house (have to be a bad throw or very windy day) or landed in my yard and somebody was rummaging around my yard looking for something, I'd be irked too.

Walking path runs through park and in and along fairways. Doesn't bother me, but a few are blind and you can't see if somebody is coming. Just be careful. Park bench located on the fairway of 8 if you throw left to right, a right to left throw shouldn't be an issue unless you hit a tree or release early.

A few of the fairways are close in proximity to the others, so a few times you should be aware that discs could be coming at you, or your discs towards somebody else.

Love hole 4, elevated tee box throwing over a low area in park then back up to the basket, nice view too. The side hill holes make shot selection critical. If your disc fades with the slope of the hill, you're going to be much further away from the pin than you want to be. I found myself using a lot of RHFH shots vs just sticking to my RHBH shots, to make the disc bite into the hills, which worked OK, but I am not nearly as confident with FH shots as I am with BH. This course will definitely make you want to practice you putting from above and below the pin, as that's where most of my strokes went. Overall fun level was good, but I could see where the side hills could be frustrating to some.

-Great variety of terrain without any real water hazards
-Most holes allow for a good, if not full out, drives and many end with a challenging pin locations
-Intelligent layout that spreads the pins out across the park

Hole # 6 is in pretty deep woods without a lot of undergrowth. Requires a close eye on your disc.
-Hole #14 has a blind through over some rough, which wouldn't be bad, except for a large tree that's difficult to play around.
-Hole # 16 has some dense rough that needs to be played over

During the summer time, I probably play this course once or twice a week for two years and I still get excited to play there every time.

One of the last courses I had yet to play in the QC area, and it did not disappoint. Great hills, nice pin placement. A very concise layout in a smaller park. Loved the bomb off of #4 and #10. Signage up and concrete tees for every hole. Most holes are under a canopy of aged trees. I enjoyed the front nine better than the back. #3 had you firing out of the woods into the park and #5 sent you shooting back in. Nice effect.

This course is very challenging and can become frustrating by the end. It can be fairly muddy after rain (or floods, as when I played). #6 has the roughest terrain as you are pretty much throwing through the woods. There are one or two narrow paths to go through, but no real "fairway." A few of the baskets are literally stuck on the side of a hill so it's difficult to land an approach shot near to the pin, which is annoying. On a lot of holes I had par ops turn into double bogeys because of this. You must be on your best short game to maximize your round.

Another great course in the Quad Cities. Better than Devil's Glen, Worse than Middle Park. I rated it the same as Eastern Ave. Although these two are completely different-looking courses I would play them both an equal # of times. Why can't MI have courses like these?? Salud.

-Great variety of holes traveling in and out of mature wooded areas.
-A fun and challenging course for beginner and advanced.
-Greens on #1, #3, #5, #7, #8, #9, #11, #13, #14, #15, and #18 (get the picture?) play along hills and are challenging.
-Good mix of distances. Not all of the holes require big arms and not all the holes driving with a putter.
-Signs are clearly understood.
-Park is well kept.

-Beautiful ravine and pond landscaping with lodge and gazebo.

-After rain this park can be difficult to navigate due to some very marshy and muddy areas.
-Hole #9 is way to marshy to ever be a fun hole. It has a great distance (500'+), but if you plant it on the fairways you will be standing in mush.
-Can be busy with walkers, dogs, fishers, which is a problem due to many of the holes fairways intersecting with paths and benches. (I did hit a gentlemen on a bench on hole #8)
-Parking for by hole #1 is hard to get to if you've never been to Prospect Park. And the parking lot is small and easily fills on a nice day.
-Brush around the green on hole #16 is out of control. If you throw a disc in that brush you very well may loose it.

A wonderful local course for me, living in Moline. I have had a lot of fun learning the game on this course. I completely recommend making a stop here if you're coming in from out of town. Remember stop by Iron Lion (www.ironliondgs.com ) to pick up some discs and talk to Chase.

Very hilly holes. You will find yourself walking on slanted slopes for much of this course. You will also find yourself trying to land plastic in accordance with slopes on many holes; in an attempt to keep your disc as the spot you intend; rather than 100 or more feet away after rolling.
These fairways are fair; but elevation shots should be penalized for smaller error than flat shots; and this happens here; as there is trouble if your float on a number of holes; i.e. woods off to the side, or a very slanted stance on the next shot; if your placement works out badly; etc.
There is also a wooded section with some elevation; but basically technical shots.
Wonderful tees and signage.
The day we were here; there were at least 10 park employees working on the course....unbelievable!! Chips were being placed, roadways were being swept, trash emptied, a surveying crew was even out; making plans for some future course improvement.
Good balance of right and left holes; most with multiple options to pin.
Course uses the amount of land available well. They have been allowed to stretch the disc play to all edges of property.
Rollaway greens.
A few low ceiling shots required.
Some pavement for possible o.b. play available.
Building kind of in play on a couple of holes; for a different look.
Nice long concrete tees. Benches.

We were here on a weekday, and only had park's employees to dodge for the most part. However, it is evident that at other times, other park users could very well cause conflict. (Holes near building...holes near parking...top area with walking paths, etc....)
Even with good signage, there is some walking and a bit of good navigation needed to find your way a couple of times.
Not really a con, but, be forewarned that there is a fair amount of side hill travel required here. In other words, those with bad knees, ankles, or hips, may want to play elsewhere.

Prospect is not outstanding from a shot stand point. However, many shots require elevation placement in a way that is fairly unique. Many heavily slanted fairways force you to think how your disc will land. You will also be forced to shoot second shots from uneven stances (i.e. uphill or downhill lies). Many courses have one or two of these type holes; Prospect has a number of them.
Only the fact that the Quad Cities area has some outstanding disc in general; puts this one to the lower end of their courses.
I would rate West Lake, Camden, Devils Glen, and even Butterworth, a bit higher than this course. We liked Prospect better than Longview and Eastern. (Longview has similar hill play to Prospect, but Longview is a much tougher course to navigate ).

The course plays through a large hilly park with some open rolling areas, and some areas with scattered mature trees. A few holes play through more wooded outskirts of the park with more dense trees and some underbrush off the fairway to catch errant shots. There is a great variety of more open shots and ones that you need to shape lines to avoid trees. The elevation is used very well here to make you shoot up and down the hills, as well as some great pin placements where you can roll a long way if you go for a putt and miss it.

Many holes have multiple lines you can take, the ones that are tighter do a good job of forcing a few right to left shots and a few left to right shots for some balance. There are definitely some ace run holes here, including a couple with fun elevation to keep it more interesting. There are also some longer holes that still require you to throw accurately to either stay out of brush or to avoid going out of bounds with a street or walking path.

There are nice large concrete tees, which are all level even on sloped holes. The tee signs are plenty descriptive and there is enough signage that navigation is never really an issue on this course despite a couple long walks between holes. There are nice paths and staircases where necessary to go up and down the hills so a muddy day wouldn't make this course that bad to play. The park is well taken care of with plenty of trashcans and obviously constant maintenance.

This course is fun, but is a little lacking in challenge. Most of the holes have multiple lines so that you're not forced to throw different shots very often, and other than a couple longer holes there isn't enough distance that most of the holes aren't easily reachable on a decent drive.

The park is very crowded, and the course plays right next to and sometimes over other park uses. The fishing pond isn't really in play, but the holes that play near it all had people fishing in places that a disc could easily end up. Many holes played over walking paths, sometimes blindly, and there were lots of people using these paths so it could be a real safety issue if people aren't careful.

This is another fun course in the Quad Cities area, and worth a stop if you're in the area. There are definitely some fun elevation shots here, and though it's not the most challenging course, it is a very pretty park and a nice walk.

Beginners will enjoy the elevation and the reasonable distances here, and there aren't many places to really lose a disc. More experienced players will have some fun on several holes here, but will need to look elsewhere for real challenge.

This course offers a wide variety of holes. There are uphill, downhill, tight, open, long, short, and everything in between. Has decent tees and pins. Also has decent, simple signs, Has some very challenging holes, but is still easy enough to enjoy.

Can be rather muddy on some holes. Some of the signs were very crude and not helpful. Previous experience is helpful when playing this course.

Overall, this is a very nice course. It is marked well and is surrounded by park walkways and a nice pond. This course could be played by any level and should be enjoyed by most of them. Probably one of the best courses in the Quad Cities area.

This a nice park with some big hills. There are a lot of trees with several wooded areas. With only 23 acres to work with this is a very good 18 hole course.

Just like the other Quad Cities courses this one has nice cement tee pads, baskets, and excellent tee signs.

Almost every hole plays up, down, along, or across a hill. It makes putting difficult as many grees are sloped.

There is an excellent variety of shots on this course. Large mature trees are utilized along with elevation add to the challenge. There are a few holes with tighter thicker woods.

This is a nice par 54 course that is good for beginners but also fun for more skilled players.

There are some very memorable holes on this course and there is quite a bit of "fun" factor.

If the park was bigger this would be a championship level course. It just lacks the room to add distance.

The Quad Cities has some very good disc golf. Plan a vacation here and play as many course as you can. You will not be disappointed.

-Parking was a bit ambiguous and limited, I parked by the bandshell/pond area, (start on 9), I couldn't figure out where to park for hole one, but the parking lot there seemed a bit limited also.
-I have a feeling that on a nice summer weekend day this park can be dangerous to play in, there is a walking path that winds throughout the park and a fishing pond that supposedly gets fished quite a bit.
-the walking path in some area leaves a bit to be desired, lots of erosion issues
-Some nasty drainage issues on hole 9 up by the pin I sank down to my ankle in nasty drainage water, also the paths in the woods are super slick after rain.
-very few facilities that I saw (no bathrooms or water)

Overall this is a good course, I really enjoyed the shots here and many of the holes were quite memorable. However I'd probably pass this one up for some of the other courses in the area (the camdens, middle park, devils glen, west lake, richmond hills, eagle point (clinton) and fuller (muscatine) because I like more challenge in dg courses, but to me this is better than eastern and longview but I'd definitely play this course again for a good rec challenge.

Hills are good if you are looking for weight loss. Lots of trash cans. Just plain pretty. One of the best courses within 20 mi.

Bring lots of discs for hole 4. It's fun to try and get a hole in one.

This course has many really cool holes. This was very challenging and asks for many different kinds of shots. The designer used the land to make some really memorable holes. It has open holes, wooded holes, and elevation galore. There were lots of trashcans and great tee signs. The cement tees were a good size.

The par settings are set for kids and new players for sure. The 5's should be 4's and 4's should be 3's. Take a map to for your first time. Parking was crazy on a Sunday. This course has many holes that have the fairways built along the sides of the hills. This is not something that is friendly to your feet or shoes.

The cool holes boosted the fun factor for me as the side slopes killed it. This is a course I would play again as I did enjoy enough parts of it. There are lots of people at this park so, play safe.

It was a fun course and very challenging I recommend going if you are experienced, Just remember to keep your cool. and hole NINE is a killer after a few rainy days! But go and have fun!

Very Challenging with a wide varity of holes from playing through woods to having to play over water. Not a starter course at all.

Very Hilly but that adds to the challenge of the course.

I would highly recomend this course to anyone who has played for at least one summer. Could be a bit frustrating to a beginner.
