Fun round

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Jun 8, 2023 Played the course:once

Pros:

Map at the little pavilion/house
Fairways were in excellent shape
All the Yellow Tee's were marked with hole numbers
New Patriot baskets

Cons:

Not a long course by any means
Very small park

Other Thoughts:

Well, I was nearby and figured I needed to play a course in Minnesota for state #33. Only a few miles from South Dakota and Just north of Iowa.

Someone has been working hard on the upkeep of this little course and I appreciate it. It was very early in the morning, saw a deer cross over the fairway for hole 9 as we pulled into the park.

I was having an issue with my foot so I played the yellow tee markers instead of the longer red ones.

For a little 9 hole course, it does have a few different shots. Hole 6 was fun to play. A really decent tunnel shot that I did manage to park.

There are some RV spots available, this would be a good spot to stop for the night, play a little disc golf and relax.

Would I play here again? Well, if I were to spend the night, yes. But that is the only reason I would consider coming here again. It's not really worth driving out of the way to play. But to get another course under your belt, stop on by. it's not as bad as you think.

Fun little course! 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Mar 2, 2013 Played the course:once

Pros:

- Fun layout...a scenic little place to work one's short game.

Cons:

- Old, damaged baskets (little/no time or money going into maintaining them, from the looks of it)
- Course is very short.

Other Thoughts:

Been on my list to play for a LONG time, since it's the most Southwest course in the State of Minnesota. I enjoyed it, though a bit more length and new baskets would make it a lot better.

It's ok 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 6, 2012 Played the course:once

Pros:

-Baskets
-Nice park area
-Not many other people around
-Decent flow once you find the tees and the course starts pretty close to where it ends.
-Swimming and fishing around the pond

Cons:

-Bugs
-Baskets were very old
-Tees are marked as a brick in the grass and are often overgrown and hard to find
-No signage
-The last 4 holes are just along the railroad tracks aren't that cool
-Could lose a disc in the tall grass on a few holes

Other Thoughts:

This course wasn't horrible. The layout was fine and flowed alright. It was just a pretty typical, small town city park with little funding and little use. I didn't not enjoy this course but it wasn't spectacular either. I wouldn't go out of my way to play this course.

Average in every way 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 2, 2009 Played the course:once

Pros:

There were baskets, so that counts for something. Can also go swimming and camping at the park if disc golf isn't your only plan.

Cons:

Course is quite short and flat. An average player could birdie multiple holes. No marked tees so we guessed. Baskets look old and worn. Noticeable amount of trash in the slough. Train tracks right by course.

Other Thoughts:

Nothing special here, I suppose if your driving through town, you could stop and kill half an hour playing it. But, I wouldn't go out of my way to do it.
