Fun, but can be crowded. 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Feb 23, 2009 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

There are enough trees to make the course challenging, but not to the point where you want to give up.

All but one of the holes are Par 3 which makes for a nice quick game.

The trees require you to utilize different shots.

Cons:

When it rains, all of the water goes to the middle of the grove and makes a mud pit.

The baskets are portable and can sometimes fall over if it's windy. And one basket had a tree branch fall on it so it's a little bent.

During the school year, if it's warm outside, there will be a ton of people sitting in the grass. The only time to play is during the summer or when the weather is below 70.

Other Thoughts:

It's a fun course with some interesting shots. If your ever in Monmouth, I would definitely suggest checking it out.

College Course! 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:May 25, 2008 Played the course:never

Pros:

Gives college students some to do between classes. Introduces disc golf to students. Actually has baskets.

Cons:

Baskets are the portable ones. They were mostly where they were susposed to be. No permanent tee pads. Course directions are written for college students who know the names of college buildings and landmarks. Course can get very crowded with students studying, playing , frolicking, etc.

Other Thoughts:

Not worth the trip. I'm not sure if it's worth the trip across town even if you're in Monmouth for something. There were too many coeds out in the quad area. It was easier just to skip a hole and move on. Go play if you're 19, you might get lucky with a coed.

Great beginner course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 17, 2008 Played the course:never

Pros:

Fun little course thats shaded and a good place to start learning with only 9 holes. Baskets are basically bordering a athletic field that is used by WOU student for many types of activities including ultimate and flag football. There is a practice football field across road that is good for driving with distance markers.

Cons:

Need to get a map from rec center. During warm school days area will be packed. Baskets are basically just bordering large open area. Not good for Adv or Pro players
