Pros:

Very open, beginner friendly course. Lots of different lines for each hole to try a variety of shots. Good range in distance. Still a pretty good challenge. Each hole is different in length and baskets are in different placements as far as in trees or in the open. Alternate tees make for more challenging shots.

Cons:

Grass is usually fairly long. Couple alternate tees have trees right next to them. Almost too open on some holes. Missing hole #2 basket.

Other Thoughts:

This is my home town course. I play here as much as I can to get better at the game and it's a great course for that. Just started to really use the alternate tees to really challenge my game and make me use different types of shots. Would like to have a tournament here some day, some year to raise money for a basket for hole #2. Would be a great course to have a tournament.

Not too shabby 2+ years drive by

Pros:

-wind
-clearly marked
-alternate course
-water and other OBs
-nice clean area
-cement pads
-park on site for kids

Cons:

-wind
-still feels a bit too short
-too much of the same...straight shot almost every time.

Other Thoughts:

Clearly a beginners course with some added difficulty in some areas. Nice job keeping me coming back as this is one of the best small town courses in the area and glad to have it as my hometown course

Not many 12s around 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 10, 2012 Played the course:once

Pros:

-Cement tees are in good condition and are decently sized
-Baskets are good
-Creek makes for a challenge on a few holes
-Signage is adequate on the holes and there is a map inside the shelter.
-Dual tees on every hole and they are pretty unique from the regular tee
-Well maintained, mowed, and cleaned city park. I saw a guy walking around picking up trash just to help out, nice people around here.
-This course isn't used too much, the town isn't too big so you probably won't have to wait at all on this course.
-You probably won't lose a disc here, the creek is probably less than a foot deep at all times.
-Hole length variation is alright. None super long or short.

Cons:

-Very open for most holes, not enough challenge to force any shot except for avoiding creek
-Flow is ok, I got lost a few times and had to go back and find the proper tee pad
-Can be quite windy here, it is open and on the prairie so be ready for that.
-There are ball fields, a playground and a lot of walking paths that traverse this park. You may have to wait or adjust your shot on some holes.

Other Thoughts:

This is a pretty typical MN city park course. It is pretty open and not too challenging. The baskets and pads are nice and it is well maintained. There isn't really anything wrong with the course other than it lacks general challenge. If you are in the area you might as well play here. It is an average course, no more, no less.

Nice Community Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 17, 2011 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

+ Well maintained course.
+ Cement tees with alternate tees for each hole.
+ "Clubhouse" shelter with bathrooms available near Holes 1 and 8.
+ Creek runs through middle of course, bringing water into play on Holes 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, and 8.

Cons:

- Not a large amount of variety. Only holes with elevation changes are Holes 3, 4, and 5.
- Not many trees around - many shots are unobstructed.
- Wind can be bad as the area is on the edge of town and exposed to any west or north winds.

Other Thoughts:

This course is very well maintained! There is a map of the entire course at the "Clubhouse" shelter near Holes 1 and 8. While the course is only 12 holes long, each hole has alternate tee locations, leading to a lot of additional looks.

Holes 3, 4 and 5 are located across the street from the rest of the course. Holes 3 and 5 are MASSIVE - each around 600 ft and wrapping around a large hill, making a straight shot impossible.

Overall, it's a great community course for a town of 4500 people. While newer players will like a lot about this course, advanced players may not find it as challenging due to its lack of trees and elevation changes.

Pros:

Good layout of course. Concrete pads, beginner friendly, alternate tee pads, and good signs by tees. Great for a hometown course and close to my house too! Very easy to follow and play.

Cons:

ALWAYS WINDY ! ! ! ! That is my main problem with the course. Could be made into a 18 hole easily and would like to see it happen.

Other Thoughts:

Nice course for the size of town. Not to difficult to play and fun.

Relaxing Toss Thru the Park 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 15, 2009 Played the course:once

Pros:

This 12 hole course sits in a nicely groomed and clean park complete with children's playground, baseball field, and a "Frisbee Golf Clubhouse". The clubhouse is a nice picnic shelter with bathrooms and four square picnic tables. There are a couple grills just outside the clubhouse for those who want to make a day or evening of it at the park. There is a course map in the shelter as well. Multiple cement tees and sponsor signs for every hole. There is a decent variety of hole lengths and slight elevation changes on holes 3 - 5. A small creek winds it's way through the park and provides the only risk of having to search for a disc. A nice course for a small town.

Cons:

The day I played here it was extremely windy and there is nothing on this course to block the wind. No real challenges on this course aside from a couple of long par 3's, one of which being 615 feet in length. Flat and mostly open. Hole 8 sits near the playground and there is a park bench right in the center of the fairway. Novice players could easily wing one into the playground so watch out.

Other Thoughts:

There is still room at this park to make it a full 18 hole course and I hope that the locals support the course and their hole sponsors to maybe one day make it a possibility. A decent course to practice those long drives.

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Apr 21, 2009 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Creek runs through middle of course adding some difficulty and variety on a few holes. Baskets are high quality and there are two concrete tees for all of the holes. There is yellow tape around the posts marking the normal tee boxes and orange around the alternate tees. The course is well designed and has a "polished" feel about it.

Cons:

The course isn't that technical, but the wind can definitely add some challenge to it. Course favors distance over shot placement.

Other Thoughts:

A quality course for a town of 4400. If its after 4pm, head to Dars Pizza on the corner of 8th Ave SW and Hwy 30 for some amazing pizza! Westview DGC has been expanded to 12 holes and has added some elevation changes to the course. Very excited about it! Holes vary in length from 190-610 feet on normal tee boxes to 172-450 feet on the alternate tees. Though it is strange that the holes that are around 600 ft long are still listed as Par 3s.

Check out the course map and scorecard in the links section.

Several of the trees in the park are young. But once they mature, they will definitely add some more difficulty to the course. There are bathrooms by tee box one and tee box six.

Pros:

Great Course for a MidSize "Good Ol" MidWest Town!...Course is 12 Holes Long but every Hole has an alternate Pad so it is actually a 24 Hole Course.....All alternate Pads are located in a Different & Unique position from the Original Pad.......Great "Bomber" Course for the Big Arms!....Nice Tee Pads, Nice Signs, Nice Course Maps.....& Very Well Kept Course......Great Design and Thought put into this One

Cons:

Wind!...Not necassily a Con of mine, But alot of people don't like playing in the Wind.....As you can see in the Pictures( There are Windmills in the Backround) This is for a reason Folks! This course is Always Windy!....So I say.... "Bring On the Wind"....But for the Review's Sake, I know Many Do not Particurarily like this Obstacle!

Other Thoughts:

Great "Unheard Of" course...If you are anywhere near it, it is certainly worth the Stop.....Great course for ALL Levels....Including Pros....The Wind always keeps this course Challenging (Especially if you play All OB Sidewalks as Out of Bounds).....The alternate Tee Pads on every hole keep this course refreshing.....I recommend playing all 24 as 1 round if you have the time.....The water is not a huge Obstacle (A Small Creek that runs all throught the course) but Can easily be very Troublesome on almost every Hole......You'll want to play your most Overstable Driver Here...I played this course when it was still a 9 Hole & the additional 3 Holes, that have been recently added, create a Hole New Course.....There is a 610 & 595 Foot Hole that are Both Par 3's (With Big Elevation Change).....This is Amazing!! Most courses are "Over" Parred but this one bears No Forgiveness!
