New Baskets and Signs 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 11, 2016 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

This is the oldest course in Western Australia and the temporary was probably the oldest currently installed course, thats up for debate im sure if someone had the original council paperwork this would really put it to bed, but its hiding in boxes.
Great course for beginners to advanced players, tighter holes.

Cons:

Might need to clear a couple of holes or redesign due to growth.
Not exposed enough to help grow the sport on its own.
9 Holes only.

Other Thoughts:

I grew up 50m away from Basket 3 and was introduced to the sport when this was still an object course way back in 1986. The course had been used for a number of years prior as an object course and i was around when the baskets were installed, concrete and tyres kept them in the ground for at least 25 years or more. With the new signs and baskets its sure to be their for years to come.

Pros:

Very quiet and no rush on the course.. All baskets in good condition and pretty good planned holes.

Cons:

Quite overgrown, a lot of local grass trees obscuring baskets need someone to take care of the course. Was pretty hard to find baskets. Needs t signs and signs for the next hole.

Other Thoughts:

Easy to find and

Perth needs another course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 28, 2013 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

helps working on technical shots, good use of available space, friendly house owners around the park, grass is always cut, and is kept pretty clean

Cons:

Baskets need more chains, leaves me craving for long holes, no need for a driver here.

Other Thoughts:

if playing the 'grunty' and 'supergrunty' layouts the locals play, it makes it more challenging, and a change of pace. but still it has become in need of trimming to make lanes available once again. perth just really needs at least one other course!

Reviewed: Played on:Mar 14, 2011 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

good open course, lots of trees and obstacles. good baskets.nice concrete pads at tee's

Cons:

the baskets are hard to see, poor sign's for holes and locations of tee's.Unsure of the par on hole 7 and 3. I am playing hole 7 as a par 4 and hole 3 as a par 3, but anybody actually knows, let me know

Other Thoughts:

this course is named on this web site twice as cockman park and the rob handcock memorial. As limited courses are available around this area this is a descent course .
