Its pretty straightforward. Easy to play, and to the point. Beginner course.

Its pretty boring, and takes no skill. All the pins are right in front of you, just at varying distances. Not worth your time to make plans on going here, just one of those courses to say you did it and then move on.

Its alright for being at a school, but not a huge wow factor here.

The course plays along the south side of the high school. Hole 1 is right by the southwest corner of the school. The tee pads are gravel and were in pretty good shape. These were good enough for most part. The signs are basic. They have a simple hole layout, par, hole #, and distance on each. The baskets are Mach 5's that are in excellent shape and catch nice. The flow from hole to hole is easy to figure out too. There is quite a bit of elevation here which is used fantastically. There are fun and challenging up and downhill shots throughout. They do a good job incorporating some of the wooded areas to make for some different types of shots. The wind can be a major factor since most of the course is wide open. The course was very well mowed and maintained.

It is a school course so it wouldn't be playable during school hours. The gravel tees weren't in the best shape and these will only get worse over time. A few of the areas look like they could get swampy after rains, especially at the bottom of the bowl. there really aren't any real long bomber holes and it would be nice to see the woods used a little more.

All in all this is by far the best high school course I've played to date. Most are not very well thought out. This one however was designed very well. It's excellent for a school course but overall a decent/typical course. If you're nearby check it out. It'd be a nice tune up for Grignon park which is only a few minutes away.

The downhill hole from the hidden tee pad is pretty cool. A fine place for an express round or glow discing. A couple of strategic holes through a lane of trees toward the end. If you live close, you could shoot a nine hole in under a half hour.

From several spots on the course, eight or nine of the baskets are visible all at once, to give you and idea of the simplicity. Most of the holes are wide open shots. It's on a high school campus so you may not want to play while school is in session.

The course was clearly built with the high school phy ed class or casual players in mind, rather than serious golfers.

Pretty open course, decent variety of hole types and elevation changes, the brush in the woods isn't too hard to find ur disc if you do lose it off the tee.

Could use a few trees in alot of the open holes for some obsticles, there were some small marshes you could lose a disc in. Most of the holes are really short. A little confusing for where to start for 1st timers.

Its a good course for beginers to intermediates, the openness of most the holes is very forgiving. Experts might find it a bit boring though.

This is a very fun school course on a very scenic high school campus. It doesn't have too long of holes, so it's reasonable for high school aged students trying out the game but has some interesting holes and some different hole shapes that will help kids try out different shots. There is nice elevation on many holes, with a couple fun downhill holes and some tough uphill shots. A couple holes bring woods and brush into play for a little more risk. The baskets are in good shape and catch well. There are basic tee signs, and the course flows well enough that it's easy to follow.

As a school course, this is great, but I try to rate all courses on the same scale. This course is pretty open and easy for the most part, with elevation as the only real obstacle. There are some nice woods on the property, it would be cool to see some wooded holes with tighter fairways to give the course a little more challenge and balance. Some of the distances on tee signs seemed off, not a big deal but it's nice to have accurate distances.

This is a fun little course that's worth a quick stop if you're in the area. It won't challenge more experienced players, but has some nice elevation shots and is a great beginner course. Don't drive too far out of your way, but this is a scenic place to play with some potential for improvement.

very quiet course with a couple fun/unique holes. The course is not too challenging but is still a fun round. Baskets are up year round.

#1 - Simple and short down hill hole.
#2 - Short blind uphill shot with a small but dense marsh on the left.
#3 - Tough hole just tucked into the woods with a rather small opening.
#4 - Another easy short down hill shot.
#5 - Short straight and open (nothing special).
#6 - Uphill dogleg left.
#7 - Slightly downhill anhyzer that's pretty open.
#8 - Fun uphill tunnel shot that opens up at the top of the hill.
#9 - Challenging shot that will have you second or third guessing how to play it (through the alley, big hyzer or big anhyzer)

Not much need for drivers on this course.
Teepads are all gravel.
Can't play during school hours.

The dificulty of this course can be increased using a little creativity. As TallPaul said playing backward basket to basket may be an option. Also playing forward basket to basket helps on a number of holes as well.

There are woods about halfway through the course that it could be opened up into that could make a for a nice 18 hole course eventually.
I spent a lot of time walking around trying to find the next pad and the pin it played to.
Since it's at a high school, watch out for love drunk teenagers. I almost hit a couple making out on the side of a hill around a blind curve.

1) Elevation is the signature of this course. A windy day is sure to be a much harder challenge than a calm day. Down a big hil on #1 to the bottom of the valley, back up the hill on #2 making the throw much longer than the tee says. #4 is a sharp downhiller back to the valley. It is a fun little teeshot. #6 has the basket tucked up a hill slightly creating a nice challenge. #7 is slightly downhill, #8 is a severe uphiller through some woods, and #9 is fairly level for the first 75% of the hole then the basket is tucked down over the crest of a little hill. Fun approach shot if you can't get your drive close.

2) Nice use of a few wooded areas with a tucked basket back into the woodland on #4, a tee tucked on the hill and above some underbrush on #5, a basket about 10' from a dense underbrush area on #6, a tee shot from the wooded area on #7, and a teeshot up a large hill through a wooded area on #8. For a course that is pretty wide open, they used those areas to challenge as much as they could.

3) Practice basket by the first hole is a positive.

4) The standard DGA teesigns which is nice to have on a school course.

5) Nice use of distance on a couple holes to help increase the difficulty.

6) Nicely groomed open lawn areas.

7) Fairly beginner friendly because it is so wide open. The elevation will challenge and the wind cna be a factor, but even beginner should be able to have fun on this course while learning some different shots at the same time.

1) Gravel tees are worse than grass in my opinion, but at least these were somewhat packed and level in some areas of every tee. But there were loose areas and unlevel areas on every tee.

2) Some of the baskets were leaning slightly making misses off the chains more of a possibility than it should be.

3) A few of the distances on the tee sign seem inaccurate. #8 stands out as one that really seems wrong. I am thinking GPS was used to find that # because if you wheel measured that hole it would probably be like 230-240 and it says 191.

4) Doesn't have enough characteristics of a great course, but has enough here to still be reasonable good. It will challenge the beginner in different ways, but the better players should not struggle with this course. It was windy and I shot even par which is sortof disgusting, but the elevation really forces you to exectue well to get the birdie.

All in all I would have to say this is one of my top 3 school courses I have played to date. The elevation is its signature and will provide a challenge to beginner players. ALthough there are any wooded holes, there is no water to speak of, and there really aren't any technical holes out here, the up and down and across of all the hills makes me feel like I had fun out there. I pared every hole and struggled to get the disc close because of the wind. So even a short little school course can present its own challenges. It is funny how much elevation was on this course compared to Ohauser which I played immediately afterwards. All in all I enjoyed myself, but a few better basket locations and some better tee areas would get this course up to possibly a 3 rating. As it stands I cant give higher than a 2 because of these issues, but nonetheless I had fun!

Kimberly High School is a relatively short course. I find it rather difficult to score real well on it. It doesn't lend itself often to -5 or better; which is what constitutes a "practice course," IMOH. Hole #1 is downhill, two straight uphill, #3 is a very small green and takes a good drive to get in 2. 4 is elevated tee. #7 is a nice hill finishing on upside of hill, #8 is a straight uphill/through the woods shot, and #9 would be considered a nice hole anywhere. So, a rather good amount of elevation and the course is pretty from a number of viewpoints. Cranes roosting in the tree tops is worth the trip. Course rarely used. Therefore, don't spread the word too much, but backwards play, from basket to basket is usually possible. And, the course played backwards makes for three or four holes of championship caliber. A couple of holes have been recently lengthened a little.

No play during school hours.

The original design for this course was 18 and used creek and woods. Be on your best behavior here, because there is the possibility of this happening in the future. They have the land to make a very nice 18; should they decide its in the best interest of their students.

Fun and open. Some left, some right, some up, & some down. Lots of crane nests to watch throughout the year.

Too open in a few cases. Too much room for error to be really challenging. Can't play while school's in session.

Great for trying out a new disc.

This is a 9 hole course. Every single hole is in the open except for one (Hole 3). Fun course to just launch your discs, although the holes are all relatively short.

Every hole seems the same.

It is a fun course to check out if you just feel like discing and its nearby. Could almost be looked at as a "practice" course.
