Updated! 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 27, 2021 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Mostly wide open shots. Wind direction and speed off mountains force some creative shot making.

Cons:

No tee pads or official length (despite what's posted)

Other Thoughts:

Basket repositioning moved baskets 6-9 north and east of parking lots. Hillside placement makes for bigger challenge yet still reachable. #4 was a bit off center/leaning, but very playable. #5 is placed tight behind bleachers, but on practice field side of fence.

Quite Possibly, The Worst Course Design Ever! 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 8, 2016 Played the course:once

Pros:

The course starts in the parking lot above the athletic fields. It then circles those athletic fields. Then # 7 plays right across the front of the school. Then 8 & 9 play around some building by the upper parking lot.

# 1 is actually a fun downhill toss. Of course, you have no idea if that is where you're supposed to tee off from.

Cons:

I can't seem to decide on which of these holes is the most ridiculous design. Because there are no tee pads, I'm basing my nominations on throwing basket to basket. My nominations for worst hole design go to;

# 2. It's about a 275' throw uphill over a sidewalk, either through a open gate or over the fence.

# 3. It plays all the way across the first field and then all the way across 1 1/2 football fields. I reckon it to be about 1000'. So boring!

# 5, you start at the basket directly behind the football field press box and then you play all the way (much of it uphill) to a basket set all the way up near the schools front corner. Along this epic journey you'll have to cross over a fence, have pinpoint accuracy and the world's strongest arm. I estimate this hole at a robust 900'. Pro par for this hole is 8. High school par is 21.

I can't decide between 8 & 9. They're both silly holes playing around school buildings and over parking lots.

Other Thoughts:

And the winner is!!!

# 6, the 900' uphill ultimate experience! Do you want to the experience that is playing this course? I suggest going home and trying to pull off your fingernails with your own pliers instead.

Third-ed 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 25, 2014 Played the course:once

Pros:

-Views of the Big Horn Mountains
-Baskets are nice enough
-Might get some kids into the sport
-Could play safari

Cons:

-No tees
-Are there even nine baskets?
-They don't mow the field that the baskets are in more than once per year.
-No trees or other obstacles
-Could lose a disc with even the best of shots.
-Too long for a course in a small town at a school.

Other Thoughts:

-If they mowed the open area with baskets in it, I would give it a .5. Since they don't, this area is pretty much useless.
-Some places aren't fit for disc golf. This course would be low rated even with tees and maintenance.

Pros:

The Dash In dinner is close...

Cons:

Its not a community dgc. Its at a high school. So the course isn't accessible all of the time.
Nothing has changed on the course. Just as dakinesurfer32 wrote. No map, markings, and a lack of maintenance.....This course is a joke. Don't waste your time!
Get a six pack and drive to Centennial Park in Story, Wy. Play a Sweeeet! Ace-Run Birdie-Bash round at a nicely laid out course and injoy the Big Horns.

Cons:

- no discernible tees of any kind, or fairways to speak of

Other Thoughts:

Honestly, there aren't any pros to this course. The directions to it are very vague, and while you can find the school, once you get there, you'll see about 4 of the nine baskets in the long grass in the field/on the hillside... and by long grass, I mean what rough looks like on a normal course, except that here the "fairways" are rough too. I couldn't even find all nine baskets, let alone any of the tees, especially considering that this is supposedly a VERY long nine hole course.

It seems as if the high school no longer cares about maintaining the course. I even went on a schoolday, and no one was there, gym class or otherwise.

Not worth anyone's time until locals decide to care about the course again.
