The battle of Saratoga.. Hills

Reviewed: Played on:Oct 28, 2023 Played the course:once

Pros:

- Nice maintained grass, feels like an old golf course
- Good for beginners and quick rounds
- Minor elevation change
- Good course for rollers
- Nice views
- Good looking neighborhood

Cons:

- No tee signs
- Grass tee pads are worn into dirt, an eye sore
- Difficult to navigate without Udisc
- Nothing inspiring, feels blah
- Not enough obstacles
- Not enough challenge
- Risk of throwing a disc into neighbor's yard
- Tight space, overlapping holes

Other Thoughts:

This is what I would consider more of a locals practice course than anything else. Like when you must go play disc golf and your wife/husband took the car and you have to walk down the street to play this place. Not really worth a special trip to play here. Unless you have to be in the area skip it and find something with more trees and and tee pads.

Good practice course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 1, 2016 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

It's a good little nine hole course. It isn't anything to celebrate but it is great for practicing on. The wind is usually blowing which adds a good element. Good groomed park with good baskets.

Cons:

No signage or tee boxes. It's a course that you have to know to be able to play effectively.

Other Thoughts:

If you use the app UDISC, then it will bring up a good map of the course and where the holes and tee boxes should be. It really helps.

Very Simple 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Mar 12, 2016 Played the course:once

Pros:

Easy park to play at. Good early season course to get that throw form back in full swing. Good for beginners since there aren't many obstacles. Also enough obstacles for a veteran player not to be totally bored with a beginner.

Cons:

Not many obstacles, a veteran player by themself would be bored. No real distinguish on which basket is what number after number 1. No tee pads. Very open, basically throwing in field with a few trees. Wind has no mercy here.

Other Thoughts:

I would not travel far to go here to play. Got it checked off of my bucket list. Would go here for a beginner to learn to play on, otherwise better courses for the same drive distance for me.

Fun Little Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 6, 2013 Played the course:once

Pros:

This is a fun little course out west of Utah Lake. It's in a small park that is very well taken care of and has 9 well placed baskets throughout.

There aren't any tee pads or signs so you can make the holes as long or as short as you want. Most of them are positioned around natural obstacles like rock, trees and hills to add a tiny bit of challenge to the otherwise simple course.

Cons:

It is a small park surrounded mostly by houses, as others have noted. Most of the fences are extremely short though and easy to hop right over. Of course you want to be respectful of other people's property.

The fact that there aren't any tee pads or signs, or any real course layout is both good and bad. Although it's cool to make it your own it's always nice to have some organization to it. The layout was good enough to allow for an easy self-made flow though.

One of the baskets is located right next to a basketball court which wouldn't be a good thing if it were in use. The rest were more out of the way.

Other Thoughts:

Overall I expected less of this park, so I was pleasantly surprised. Whoever put the baskets in did a good job. It is still just a small park with a bunch of baskets scattered around it, but it maximizes what is available.

Most of the baskets have numbers on them, so I suppose if you wanted to scout them all out in advance and determine what ones are where then you can fill in the blanks with the other baskets. I'm far too lazy to do that though.

Overall this is a fun course for beginners.

Fun Local Practice Spot 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Oct 23, 2010 Played the course:once

Pros:

Grass and park are kept very nice. Fun to take the kids or wife. Great for a quick practice round.

Cons:

Smaller park area between houses. Not a complete 9.

Other Thoughts:

Went with a friend who had previously played there a year ago. Said they had done some upgrading to the landscaping and in turn we found that the baskets for holes 2, 4 and 9 were gone.

A Convenience, Not Destination Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 7, 2009 Played the course:once

Pros:

It has baskets. Good for beginners.

Cons:

Close to backyards but other than possibility of landing in a backyard, not much of a challenge.

Other Thoughts:

Definitely don't drive just to play, maybe if you are already close and have 45 minutes with nothing to do.

Good family course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 30, 2008 Played the course:never

Pros:

Well maintained grass, short holes good for getting the kids or inexperienced players involved.

Cons:

Not many trees or obstructions, not a very challenging course, more or less a grassy park setting. Very close proximity to some backyards.

Other Thoughts:

Great course if you want to get a quick round in, or bring the family for a barbeque, shoot hoops etc. Would not impress someone looking for a challenging course. Would go again with the wife or kids or friends just starting out, or if I had very little time to play.

Nice Neighborhood course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 29, 2007 Played the course:never

Pros:

Who doesn't like playing on perfectly manicured grass?

Cons:

Short course, with lots of backyards coming into play. May be tight with multiple groups playing the course - as many play the course in reverse to make 18 holes.
