Aesthetic--nice, multiuse park with mountain biking, volleyball, tennis, baseball/softball and a giant playground.

Teesigns--relatively descriptive and basic with next tee "stickers" on every sign. distances seem accurate.

Routing/nav--easy enough, teesigns are visible from the baskets and not hard to follow.

baskets--nice and in great repair!! Practice basket is in a bit of rough repair.

Variety--not really a ton of variety as the course wraps around the perimeter of the park in a clockwise direction. all brush is on the left but there is normally right sided OB.

Challenge--lots of very short holes with very forgiving pars. hole 8 was fun to try to play as a huge hyzer bomb over the tennis courts.

only 9 holes--I think this park could legitimately put in 9 more tees for the existing baskets and make for a fun 18 holes pitch and putt in the future

The layout of the course is really easy to follow, it just simply circles the whole park around the perimeter of the wood line. To the right of hole one there is also a practice basket which is cool. Chances are you won't lose a disc playing this course either because its pretty open. For beginners this is a great course to learn on and it doesnt seem to be too busy. There is a variety of simple shots with dogleg shots that go both left and right.

The course could really use cement tee pads which would make it better, but is ok without them. The scoring on all the holes vary from par 3 to 5, in reality to make all the holes hard every hole has to be played as par 3's. Hole 8 is 309 feet and is considered a par 5, its too simple to be a par 5. The course should have implemented the woods to make an awesome 18 hole with water holes and tunnel shots. The practice basket works but one side of the basket is badly bent from a lawnmower accident or something along those lines.

The park offers a lot of other amenities to keep everyone entertained. If the designers of this course had taken more time it could have been designed to incorporate some of the woods to make it a full 18 if they did it right to play around the bike trails. I think that would bring a lot more DG players to Greenville and would make it an awesome course.

Lately since there isn't any softball tournaments I've been playing the practice basket as a 10th hole. After playing hole nine we walk over between the right side of the community center and the softball field and throw next to the community center behind the guard rail. It makes for about a 200 foot hole that doglegs to the right around ball field.

Enough distance to get some good drives in.

Trees where you start and trees where the traps are. Weird angles. Fences. Play through quickly so a few rounds to make it worth while.

I live in Portage where there are quite a few courses so I'm used to better but at least it is something. I like how nobody in the area seems to play, so I got it all to myself. Snakes, lots of them!

This is a somewhat interesting course that is perfect for beginners. The tee areas are well marked, the route through the course is obvious, and the layout manages to avoid throws that might be dangerous to other park users. The lack of any real consequences from errant throws and minimal risk of lost discs will keep beginners throwing happily and mostly frustration-free.

The entire park is exceedingly clean and well tended. The port-a-johns are almost always spotless, and there are picnic tables available for "just hangin' out".

A second round here showed this course is deceptive in its simplicity. Drives under and around trees; ball field, tennis court, and road OBs; and several blind dogleg fairways means this little course plays harder than it looks. #6 in particular appears to be a short straight drive, but undulating terrain and prevailing winds make it tougher than you'd otherwise think.

The simple layout and mostly open terrain will have more experienced players yawning by hole #4. No trick shots needed here.....a basic ability to control turn and fade, and a solid putt will have you making par or birdies on most of these holes.

Low lying areas with a clay base means you'll be slogging through standing water after any major rains.

Come to Greenville for the most excellent mountain biking!!! Ride a loop on the intermediate to advanced Edward's Creek trail (trailhead at the Walnut St entrance to Alan G Davis Park), have a snack, play a round of DG, then ride the well-marked paved connector trail to the Shearer Rd trail. Ride a loop (or 2) on this beginner to intermediate trail, then follow the signs back to Davis park. On a hot day, stop at DQ before leaving town, then follow the signs to the hospital, jog around the back side, and keep going down the hill to the cute park on the lake for a dip to cool off - an awesome end to a perfect day!!!
