Battling Ridges 2+ years drive by

Pros:
Bridgers are a pretty excellent location for Discgolf 
Third week of June, and the Wildflowers are everywhere, enjoying the Lush Conditions
Great Visibility for the PVC Targets
Either Red, White, or a Light Blueish
Good Diameter too, usually 6 inches
Appreciate that all the Targets are Hanging from Deadwood
And it makes for some unique and memorable Greens
Many Tees Marked with a Red Stake, and many Next Hole Arrows near Target
DG path was well Trekked and easy enough to Follow along with typically, even in the Lush Conditions
Vegetation wasn't nearly as bad as expected/feared. There's Definitely stuff you'll Hate landing in, but the Paths and Target areas were not eating Plastic
I didn't lose any during my four day Visit
The only Trouble spots for me, was where Deadfall had Veg growing up around Branches
Big Mountains, Big Shots!!!

Bring more Hydration than you think you'll need
13 & 14 have Wet areas, so it's thick and lush down there

4s Tee may or may Not have a Stone Marker, its the Spot that looks like a Natural Tee, where the Map says it is
14 Tee is similar to 4s, in that it may or may not be marked with Rocks and is just a Wider area of Path that looks like a natural Tee
Spotters on 4 8 11 13 14 15 would be Smart
Blind Targets
4 can be seen with a little walk Down
11 can be seen as you walk up from 10s Target, out 350ish on the Left
12 is 250ish straight, and Low hanging on some Deadwood just to the Right
14 is way up. Basically want to get to/or over the pile of Deadwood, and then the Target is up in the Trees another 100ish feet. 350 but plays 450 kinda hole
19 is down the Ravine and on the Right

After hole 3, I Accidentally played 19s Tee to a 'Bonus' Target up the Ridge Higher than 18s Target, instead of going over to the Actual Hole 4?!?!
Then noticed a Couple more 'Bonus' Targets up Along the Ridges Spine, But couldn't find Tees... so I Safari'd something together, for Funness sakes
Since I didn't figure out 20 n 21, I'd just Safari up the Ridge out and back, then Finish on 19 n hike down to the Lot
Outstanding Views of Sacagawea, up there on the Safari Ridge too
But,

Pros:
Biggest thing I love about this course: it's a beautiful mountain course! Provides a few technical shots and nice vistas. More of a short range course, but there are a couple tee shots where you can let loose. Each hole had a distinct trail so you are able to figure out where the next hole is most of the time.
Cons:
Hard to find the course to begin with. I spent 40 minutes just looking for any part of the course. I am going to upload a few photos to help others find it. Not well marked either. Only a few of the baskets have numbers. The trails that I mentioned earlier do help, but sometimes they disappear or cross with another trail. It can take some figuring out. However, this doesn't affect my rating as much because I expect mountain courses to be more bare bones.
Other Thoughts:
Note that the baskets are pvc pipe hung from trees, logs, etc. Bring water with you as there is quite a bit of hiking.

Pros:
-The course is very challenging and keeps things interesting with a mix of up/ down elevation shots, tight trees, and long distances
-Get a good workout walking up and down the hills so much
-Never crowded
-Dogs can run free (unlike down the road at Bohart Ranch)

Cons:
-Quite a distance from Bozeman (but this keeps it low key and uncrowded)
-PVC Targets are hard to see (some are painted neon green and others are white still)
-Tee boxes can stay muddy weeks after rains in Spring and early summer
-TALL grass in late Summer to early Fall (BEWARE many discs have been lost to the green jungles)
-Trees on 8,10,14,16, and 18 seem to hold disc well if your shot is high (the trees in the area are huge old growth fir, spruce, and pine and very difficult to retrieve discs from)
-18 target is extremely close to 4 tee
-Wind is a problem in Spring
-There is a cattle grazing allotment where the course is and as a result numerous cow patties

Update Fall 2014: There has been a lot of clearing of snags and dead fall. This has almost no effect on the course play but the additional holes are now no longer playable.
This is a great woodland course for more experienced players. If you were in your first few rounds of this sport it would be frustrating to play this course with the long distances and tricky tree shots. In long winters the course is not playable until late May and sometimes early June. The best times of the year to play are usually right when the soil begins to dry up and before the grass gets too long (usually between Mid-June to Late-July). Playing in late August and September would be ideal if the grasses are dead in a non-fire year and when temperatures aren't too hot. Snow comes early so seasons here don't last too long.
One thing to point out is that the Forest Service did not approve of this course being made. They feel that attaching the PVC pipes to trees is not "natural" and would have preferred the targets to be "dead tree limbs painted a neutral color" as to "not disturb from the aesthetic feel of the Bridger Mountains". I have been approached numerous times while playing the course by Forest Service personnel. They're not going to kick you out but they are very inquisitive as to who built and maintains the course.
As of a few years ago there were a few holes added, 19, 20, and 21. These are reflected in the new updated google map (Thanks to whomever created the first!). 19 tee is between 4 tee and 3 target, it goes straight down a small ravine. Don't be fooled! This hole requires almost no power at all and requires a high level of accuracy. 19 target is behind a tree and not visible from the tee. 20 tee is just down the hill and north of 19 target (there are paths that are fairly easy to follow). 20 target is through a clearing and is a dead tree branch that is not painted (BEWARE: this hole is just below 2 target, watch out for discs flying this way. Also keep your disc high on the side hill otherwise it will soar down towards the highway and walking back up the hill is no fun). 21 tee is very close to 2 tee and 1 target. This is a fun final hole were you can grip it and rip it. Watch for other players coming up from the parking lot and make sure you get over the shrubs and bushes, these swallow discs like nothing else on the course. 21 target is the large singled out tree, there should be a large dead log standing up on its trunk.
I highly suggest hiking shoes and pants. There are plants here that are no fun days after your round. Make sure to bring plenty of hydration and snacks.

Pros:
A great variety of shots. Excellent scenery. Good use of landscape, and fairways.
Cons:
Dirt tees. PVC tones. Unmarked. No trash cans.
Other Thoughts:
My friend and I were approached by a Ranger asking if we knew who put in the course, and made it seem like it was not supposed to be there, so who knows how long it will stay. This was in '09 though...

Pros:
-Beautiful Setting
·This Course is located in the heart of the beautiful bridger mountains. There are great views of craggy Ross peak, and a great view of the entire Crazy mountain range. (Yes the mountains to the east are actually called "The Crazies.")
-Challenging
·This course has a lot of trees, a bunch of long shots, and a lot of elevation change. Depending on the time of year, the grass can be very high and easy to lose discs in. But it all adds to the adventure. And remember, if you are looking for one of your discs, that's when you'll most likely find a bonus disc!

·Yes, some money could be put into this course. Sadly (in some respects) the land is publicly owned, so there are rednecks that come out and use the PVC pins as target practice. There is some trash around, but not too much. And mainly some real pins could be installed.

Besides the few relatively minor cons on this course, it is absolutely great! You generally don't see another person, and you get the mountains to you and your friends. It is well worth the drive from Bozeman and maybe some day it'll get a little face lift and become a solid 5 star course!

Pros:
This is by far the greatest tone pole or home made target course I have ever played. Starting out you make this long and winded trek through a dense mountain hillside. You get to the top and find the first couple of holes. Judging by the descriptions of the course especially usage of the term "guerrilla" course I thought this was going to be near impossible to navigate but actually we had very little issues other than seeing the home made PVC pipes on some holes and having to walk a couple of holes first. This is challenging course both for your legs and for your golf game. I wouldn't call this a large mountain course there aren't giant downhill throws will a chance of losing discs but many canyons and valleys, lots of little ups and downs to make the course fun and hard. Distance combined with elevation and tree obstacles really make shooting course par out here a good score. There are several punishing holes out here on your arm that may be only 350 feet but straight up hill and over a downed trees through a bunch of standing trees. The course is listed as an 18 hole course but we counted at least 22 holes here and there maybe more. You even get a nice view of the surrounding mountains and while we were playing they were covered with fresh snow while we were comfortable being a little lower and warmer. There are some truly fun holes out here.
Cons:
Well it is a mountainous course and with that you are going to get tired. The course is somewhere in the 6500 feet above sea level range and you can really feel how hard it is to breathe up here and since this is half hiking and half disc golf you can see where I am going with that. There are cow patties EVERYWHERE! Lots of pies from the cows and some other random nature critter poop. It would have been nice to see a couple of benches for us larger boys trying to make the hike.
It has to be said for some of you who don't like home made targets. They are using PVC pipes with rope attached to a tree or branch, some targets are hanging and some are closer to the ground. I honestly don't mind these but I know some of you out there aren't going to like these especially being a larger and challenging course so I have to mention this for you.

You really can navigate this better than expected but I still believe going out here by yourself is a bad idea mostly because of how alone you are. There aren't a lot of other human beings trampling through these parts and there are ways of hurting yourself and if you are alone you could be stuck out here in the cold for days without anyone finding you. Also there is wildlife out here including Elk, Deer, Moose and Bears. I didn't see any of those guys while I was out here but there were signs of them.

Pros:
Very fun course! Challenging but not difficult. Great area to have fun in the mountains.
Cons:
heavy brush and lots of trees eat discs. very long hike to play all 18; 3 to 4 hrs depending on skill and lost discs.
Other Thoughts:
Bring water, snacks, 420 supplies, wear pants and hiking shoes! Watch out for wildlife: bears and elk mostly. Not open early spring or late fall due to snow.
