+ Aged baskets. If you're into nicely seasoned baskets that seem to be have been through the worst elements without any thought to their upkeep, you will love this place. You can basically smell the rust from the parking lot.

This course certainly has the potential to get up to a 1.0 rating if the tees are restored (based on earlier reviews) and the baskets are cleaned up, but as it stands now, it's certainly nothing to write home about.

I recently got to play this course and was actually impressed with a few of the holes. My expectations were low coming in and so that probably helped. Here are my pros:

1) A few of the holes actually have some distance. The 4th hole felt like 435 feet and the 8th hole was probably 425 feet.

2) Hole 5 was a neat hole that actually teed off from the football field, right next to the goalpost. I am not even joking. Has anyone ever done that before?

3) The homemade baskets were really really awesome. Sure, I'd prefer a Mach Basket or even a Discatcher anyday but these homemade baskets actually worked out okay.

Unfortunately that's all the pros I had....

Unfortunately this course simply is not playable without playing with a local. The best advice I can give you is this: after playing a hole, throw your next tee shot from about 10 feet away from the the prior basket and hope you throw towards the right basket.

Because this course doesn't have tee signs, tee pads, numbers on the basket, etc, its simply impossible to play without some guidance.

Also, the course weaves in and out of the high school sports facilities and wouldn't be playable if there was a baseball, softball or football game going on.

And that's really the main knock on this course: you just can't drive up and play it. You can certainly TRY to play the course but I am certain that things won't go well from a navigational perspective. This course does have "tees", but they are grown in to the point of being very challenging to find. Case in point, I played this course with local pro Nate Yemm and even he couldn't find some of the tees.

If this course was an 18 hole course I'd probably give it a 1.0 but being a 9 hole course drops the rating down a little bit. Actually, its probably good that this course is 9 holes because 18 holes of no teepads and no basket numbers would be even more challenging!

I think its really neat that a high school stepped up and allowed a disc golf course on their property. I hope that more schools do this as I think its a great way to go grow the sport. I also think that having a course like this could be the next step towards having high school teams in the area, which would be awesome. Kudos to the school for doing this----however, I would recommend going with a professional designer next time, even for a 9 hole course.

The course plays through the open spaces around a high school's athletic fields. There are a couple holes that take advantage of some minor elevation changes, and a couple that play near some dense rough for a little bit of risk/reward action. There is some length variety, with a couple holes over 300' and some shorter ace run holes. The baskets are homemade (apparently by the school's welding class), and are pretty close to spec. They catch ok, and seem plenty durable, all were in nice shape. The grounds are well taken care of, with all the grass nicely mowed and no trash or vandalism.

The course is open and pretty uninteresting. There are no obstacles on most of the holes, leaving an easy hyzer line on every hole for a righty or lefty player. The distance adds a little challenge, but makes it less accessible for school kids trying out the game, I'd hate for new players to be frustrated by the long holes their first time and lose interest.

Many holes play very near athletic fields (one tee is quite close to the football goalpost), and so the course is definitely not playable when the fields are in use. The tees are natural, and not always on level ground. The tee markers are flush with the ground, and some have grass growing over them, making them a little hard to find. It's not at all clear where to begin the course, from the parking lot, walk along the road past the tennis courts, then look on the ground to your right for the first tee marker.

I love the idea of getting disc golf into schools, exposing students and the community to the sport in a positive way. This course does an ok job of catering to new players, though some minor obstacles and less length would make it more beginner friendly and encourage new players to try different shots. More experienced players won't find any challenge or interest here, but that's ok, it wasn't intended for them.

The idea of having the welding class make baskets is awesome, now how about the wood shop and the art departments team up on some tee signs to make the course a little easier to follow?

Course description: course plays through the unused portions of greenspace between the sports fields. The layout is pretty much a big circle. The baskets are the nicest homemades I have ever seen, nice and sturdy, all welded metal, with chains that catch just like any other basket. The welding class did a nice job on these. By the baskets (usually within 40 ft or so) is a piece of concrete shaped like home plate but oriented in the direction of the next basket. The concrete also has the tee number on it.

The pros are few here but include:
-the nice homemades baskets
-Although the course is mostly flat and treeless there are 2 holes that use elevation and one that has a shaped shot from a tree. 3's basket is slightly uphill, and I shot from a raised area by the football field. I couldn't field the little piece of concrete, so I played from the most logical spot, which was the edge of the football field. Also, hole 4 plays over a ravine and also has a tree suggesting you to throw a right to left shot, even though you can throw right at the basket.
-The course has some length to it. There were no measured distances, but on 3 of the holes, I pulled out a driver and couldn't reach the pin (I throw a driver about 330'), 1 hole I could reach with a driver and on the rest of the holes I used a putter or a midrange and could reach them. So I would guess the course length was about 3100'

The course had a bunch of cons, however.
-Tees were natural, too near the previous baskets, and somewhat hard to find.
-The landscape was boring. Almost all flat and almost no trees. The course was also extremely wet due to many of the holes being along the drainage lines for the sports fields. There was standing water near the basket for 3. Granted it has been a wet fall, but combine that with the drainage lines it made for some soggy golf.
-There is an area with multiple pins near each other so without tee signs or distances posted it was a bit tough to tell which basket to chuck at.

Overall, this course serves its purpose as gym golf well, but for actual golfers, this should not be considered a good place to play, but rather a decent place to practice. The shame is that there are woods at the school but they weren't utilized at all. But it is a good course to get kids started in dg.
