Seeliger. Cute little park course. 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Jun 16, 2012 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

The biggest pro this course has is good course equipment by Crosslap, specifically nice tee signs and baskets. This course plays in a small community park with several walking paths that cut through.

For the limited obstacles presented on this piece of land, some of the holes really utilize the land well to force a variety of lines (sharp hooks or straight) if you want to score well.

Another huge pro is that this course is almost directly by the Wölfenbuttel main train station, so walking here is only a 2-3 minute walk if you're not traveling by car!

Cons:

I'm not the biggest fan of the design of this course. Three design issues worth noting are that hole 7 completely kills the flow of the course. The other 8 holes flow pretty well but hole 7 is just randomly on another part of the course. Holes 3&4 aren't bad, but the walk is a little strange between them and could have been designed so that you don't have to walk all the way back past 3's tee to get to 4. Lastly, the fairways of 5, 6, and 8 all cross which irked me.

I can definitely imagine this being very crowded when the weather's good. I was here on a very rainy day and there were still people chilling here.

Other Thoughts:

From the courses I played this weekend, my general experience is that this is a VERY dense area for disc golf, easily the densest in Germany for now, but the courses are all very mediocre and nothing really stands out. If you prefer quantity over quality, give this area a visit because there's tons of courses to check out, but don't expect to be blown away by their glory.

Pictures and Course Info is up-to-date!

On a personal note, my 75th course and review! :)

Pros:

Nice course in the center of the lovely town Wolfenbuettel. Baskets are usually surrounded / hidden by old trees.

Cons:

The lawn is sometimes blocked by non-players making it difficult to hit nobody.
There is a small construction area near basket #4 - an additional difficulty.

Other Thoughts:

Due to the amount of the non-players trespassing the area, there is another course under construction in Wolfenbuettel/Linden opening August 2011
