The landscape, tees, and baskets were all in great shape. Weekly mowing and trimming is apparent here. Every hole (minus the wide open #1) presented some fun-factor! Each hole utilizes elevation, shaping, and distance variations to keep it interesting. You'll have a tough fall-away 200' green on #2 and a few 500'+ bombers. #5 was an especially enjoyable downhill low-ceiling 420 ft'r. The manicured grass and rolling hills provide several options to bust out some rollers. Just for fun, they elevated the finishing hole to about 8 ft. Navigation is easy for the first-timers and it's in a dedicated spot where other park users would rarely interfere.

It's a fairly open course where a disastrous throw will be hard to come by (not much of a con!). The trees are smartly used to define your shot but there aren't a ton of them to create any particularly narrow fairways. I'm torn on #1 as both basket locations are open-field reachable drives. It's easy-mode but also a welcomed warm-up/forgiving starting hole.

Despite sharing only 9 tees, this 18 basket course plays like a true 18 hole'r. It's slightly low on challenge but very high on fun-factor. Well worth your time!

Two baskets in place for every pad all the time! Great use of a smaller piece of land. Technical but not too difficult for players of less experience. A good variety of holes of different distances. Great signage and easy to follow layout.

I played this course for the first and only time during the 2013 Autumn Classic. I will certainly be back for some casual rounds as well as future tournaments. The course is in a beautiful park that is about a year old. The park and the course are very well maintained. While it is a considered a nine hole course, there are two baskets (Yellow and Blue) for every tee. The dual baskets are placed in completely different positions which make it really like 18 individual holes. There aren't any pads where one hole is just 30' farther than the other. This course should serve as an example of what can be done with a smaller parcel of land. It plays like a big course. Being that it has nine tee-pads and 18 baskets lends to a great deal of choices for those that only have time to play nine holes. There is a fair amount of elevation change. While not really a wooded course there is good use of the many trees. There is also a fair amount of risk-reward and even an elevated basket. This course is a real gem and the players in Lawrenceburg should be real proud of this one. I gave it a 3.5 but is close to a 4..

Anderson Community Park just north of Lawrenceberg, KY has an entryway that will definitely 'grow the sport' of disc golf. You enter off of route 127 and see a forest of beautiful yellow and powder blue disc catcher baskets on either side. The rest of the usual park amenities are deeper into the park, just past the first parking area. Therefore, there is little possibility of conflict with other park users, after the path on the left of hole 1, yet they have to have noticed the course!

The folks doing an excellent job of maintaining and enhancing this nine hole course have gone to the expense of adding a complete second set of nine baskets, using the limited space they had available, to completely upgrade the already nice concrete tees to have two distinct 'holes' per tee. An unusual arrangement, but it looks beautiful here.

The blue course plays shorter, with holes ranging from 190 to 400 feet, while the yellow plays from 255 to 615 feet. You start off next to your car, by a nice course sign and a practice basket, and the flow works very well. The few times the next tee isn't obvious, there's usually a nice placard in the ground pointing the way. The first three holes are short enough to deceive you into thinking breaking par will be easy, but you'll get to lengthen your arm more and more as you get to the return shot on 6, and then the three holes on the north side of the driveway will challenge the big guns out there with the long yellow 8 back to the far corner, then the 500' yellow 9 which finishes at a really neat elevated basket.

In all, there is distance and variety enough (despite not really having a lot of obstacles to contend with) to satisfy the intermediate to advanced player, while the recreational player can appreciate the opening holes being slightly downhill (good use of the elevation), and the 'greens' not being too punishing. You're not likely to lose a disc here, unless you go long on 3 (weeds rough), long and left on 5 (there is a creek down there), or grip lock one to the right into the tree line rough on 8.

There are new, simple benches at the 6th & 9th tees, and I noted the 9th tee has been excavated back a little and more gravel added for more run up to the level concrete tee pad (needed for 500'). They have nice temporary signage up for the redesign. Maintenance here has been excellent the two times I've visited, and the upgrades from 2012 to 2013 are impressive.

Not a whole lot to complain about, so I'll just mention the sink holes (well-flagged out, usually) in the low area on #6 long: watch your step in there! As mentioned, most of the shots here are relatively open, so there weren't too many opportunities to force tough, technical work into the design (they did very well with the 'greens' usually winding up with the trees guarding one approach or the other, so that you do need to plan ahead somewhat). Open means potential for wind and sun, depending on season.

I've only given one other nine hole course four stars, and this one, now a double nine, deserves the same.

Other than the blazing heat this course produces during hot sunny days in the summer, this course is a nice refreshing open course that provides clearly defined fairways and scenic holes. My favorite hole being 5. Could really use benches by hole 6 and 9's teepad to rest the weary legs. I personally would like to see some landscape bushes and flowers to liven the course up a bit more (i.e. around the message board and beside hole 1, 4, and 6's teepads). Will be a very, very, VERY great course once it's evolved into an 18 hole course.

This nine hole course offers a quick and fair challenge utilizing varied lengths over rolling hills elevations. Mostly open there's mild technical demand but a few good pin placements (5,7,8) and 9's elevated basket add to the challenge. This course prompts a couple of stationary throws from the tee, a few big bombs and those in between. As such I see it being good for honing the fundamentals; an excellent beginner's course and a solid intermediate's. Several ace runs lend to the fun factor. Favorites would be 5, 7 and 8: 5 for its long downhill left to right line with little creek and semi protected basket; 7 for its tree ringed basket with window ace run; 8 for its long over and down the hill with left to right approach. Quality baskets, concrete tees, decent signs and a kiosk with overhead map round out the accoutrements. Being in a nice community park 10 minutes off the interstate this course can be a good break for travelers along I64.

The flow: crossing the road after 2, again after 6 and then the walk back to 1 gives it broken feel, even while it's a fast track. Most shots are straight or hyzer (RHBH) lines with a couple anhyzer approaches.

I tend to shy away from 9 hole courses and don't have as broad experience to draw comparisons, but this was a quick 40 minute track with several good challenges. If it were nine holes more, of similar variety and caliber it could likely earn 3.5.

The Lawrenceburg-Anderson disc course offers a nice layout with holes that range between 190ft-615ft and a mixture of varying elevations and fairways. This course is all around one of the best 9-hole courses that I have played. The course is still very new, and all the equipment is in great condition.

The land itself has a limited number of trees yielding an overall open feel to the course. The available tree-lines, along with some well placed mando's were used to create a variety of lines and shots throughout the course. Navigation is simple and straight-forward, very easy to follow, with next tee markers located as needed throughout the course. A message board near the first tee contains a course map to show the overall layout. The entire park was very clean and well-maintained, including the course. All baskets had the putting circle (10m) cut around them to give the true feeling of a "putting green". The design utilizes available slopes and elevations to create some nice putting greens and added challenge to the course. As mentioned, hole#5 is fantastic, nice downhill with a gentle left>right fairway defined by a row of trees down each side. Hole#8, great par4 hole that is mostly open, but thick trees down the right side with the pin tucked into a corner and well guarded on the right side. The elevated basket on #9 is a nice feature too.

All around, a solid design. The course is not far from the Bluegrass parkway and is located right off of highway 127. The course plays very quick and is very easy to follow, so if you are near the area, it's definitely worth the time to check it out.

This nine hole course has lots of elevation changes, an excellent variety of hole lengths ranging from 190ft to 615ft and a good shot variety. The course is mostly open with some well placed trees on a number of the holes. Holes 2 and 3 have hilly putting greens which really add to the challenge.

Navigating the course is easy and next tee signs ensure you won't have a problem getting around. The course appears to be well taken care of and the bulletin board by hole 1 looks updated with everything going on in the area.

There is very little rough on the course and water is only really in play on one hole.

While there are a a few notable holes, hole 5 is my favorite. It's a 420 downhill shot with a gentle turnover all the way. Hyzer out too soon and you run the risk of going ob in the small stream on the left. Hole 8 is the longest hole on the course at 615 ft and is a great par 4. Its basket is protected on the right side of the fairway making a tricky second shot to put you in a position to get your birdie three. Hole 9 is wide open but has a elevated basket to make it more interesting.

Hole 9 finishes leaving you with a long walk back to the parking lot and hole one.

While some of the holes have trees in play, a few of them are simply wide open. Due to the lack of trees there really aren't many technical shots here, just grip it and rip it.

It's a shame this course is only 9 holes. Another 9 here would really make this a notable course that could attract more out of town disc golfers.

Overall this is one of the better 9 hole courses I've played, but it is only 9 holes. So if you're in the area, I would recommend stopping to play here.

This more advanced course is a great compliment the beginner 9 hole course across town.

Many different elevations and drives make this a challenging course covering uphill and downhill shots with various trees, shrubbery and obstacles. While course does not have water hazards, there are multiple areas where water is running through giving additional challenges. Final hole has been raised on a pedestal to present a final finishing challenge for the course. Course is easily navigable without map since each hole has an arrow pointing to next hole location placed on the ground and a par marker stick for each hole.

Course is only nine holes due to layout of park and setup in the front of the park restricting layout; however, in a good location off of main highway.

9 new basket locations added using existing tees!!! Makes an excellent 18 hole layout. The new additions change the complexion of every hole. GREAT addition. Course necessitates a wide range of shots. Good elevation changes and use of elevation. Trees on course are utilized to a great degree and trouble exists on the perimeter. A fun and challenging layout for a wide range of skill levels. Good combination of length, shot shaping, and soft touches required to score well. Unique features added such as an elevated basket and mandos. Would definitely recommend you make the trip to play the 18 hole layout. Grass is manicured. New baskets. Great tees. Good signage. Benches available. Message board with course layout map. Beautiful park with easy access. A great stop to play disc golf.
