Frustrating... Where'd the baskets go? 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 29, 2016 Played the course:once

Pros:

Some tight holes and elevation changes. Most holes are long and also require some delicate positioning between trees.

Cons:

Without a map you'll be lost on this course due to some big gaps in between the baskets and the following tees. An even bigger issue is the removal of several baskets without an update to the course map.
Basket #'s 2, 9, 15 and 18 are all gone which led to some frustration considering it was my first time playing the course. There is a 16A which has been added and another unnumbered basket just beyond that one.
The park is busy and some shots lead you across walking paths, roads, playgrounds and picnic areas.
The tees are white mats that look nice but are very slippery despite dry conditions.

Other Thoughts:

Little Lake Park is a beautiful place to take the family for picnics, swimming, canoeing or playingin the playground. It also has a nice skatepark, a baseball diamond, walking paths and a sandy beach to chill out on so it's great for kids, teens and young adults as well. There is a YMCA within the park and a community centre beside the park as well making this an ideal place for the entire town to enjoy. This stuff doesn't factor into my rating, only the disc golf course.
This may have been a better course in the past and it is possible that the missing baskets have only been temporarily removed due to the busy beach season but I was disappointed with the current condition of the course.

Good Course if you can navigate it. 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 29, 2014 Played the course:once

Pros:

Lots of different shots required, both long and short as well as technical.
Hole 14, into the wind with a drop 5 feet behind the pin is a fun one!

Cons:

Short tee boxes are just posts in the ground
No indication of where the next tee if from the current holes tee box. The course doesn't flow logically in some places so this is an issue. (Take a picture of the map at the start to help with this)

Wonderful! 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 14, 2011 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

This course is long and tough. Accuracy and distance are required. There are still a few ace runs too. The course is extremely well designed, with every hole having defined lines toward the basket. Lots of OB, and water make the course even more challenging.

Cons:

Watch for poison Ivy.
The course can be very very busy with people causing long waits.
It will demoralize you if you're not playing your best (not really a factor in my rating, more or a pro to some I imagine, but nice to know regardless)

Other Thoughts:

Its a great course that will challenge even the best of the best. Two holes played as par 4's during a recent professional tourny held here. So that gives you an idea of just how tough it is.

Pros:

Fantastic layout, great flight lines, good variety of shots required, exceptionally well groomed, dual tees, dual pins

Cons:

Can't really think of any.

Other Thoughts:

This is a must play course in Ontario. It has everything from tight corridors, water, elevation changes, open blasts, all set among mature 100 year old trees. A beautiful course, and a blast to play.
