Pros:

This course has been calling to the "ticker" in me, and since it's so close to my place, I decided to stop in and check it off the list.

--Good use of the tiny bit of elevation they have.

--The nine baskets are in pretty good shape, although #3 is leaning.

--Good variety of basket placement. Some wooded, some out in the open.

--Doesn't just play in a circle, it zigzags across the property to make some longer holes. The variation in length makes it much more interesting than the standard loop.

--Requires more technical shots than I thought. 1,2,5,6,7&9 all make good use of the trees.

--Once you get the layout of the course, you see the thought that went into the placement of the different baskets.

Cons:

--The Leaning Basket of Pisa on Hole #3

--No tees or directions. I took 15 minutes playing random basket to random basket before I found the right order of holes.

--Safety hazards galore. The holes (at least playing them basket-to-basket) plays across playgrounds, basketball courts and walkways. Fairways criss-cross each other.

--Private land. ASK FIRST. The lady in the building that I talked to was hesitant to let me play, but seeing as there was nobody on the property, let me anyways. She really appreciated that I asked first, which she said nobody does (which leads to them being asked to leave.)

--Goose poop and gnats.

--7 to 8 is boring and not very well planned.

Other Thoughts:

I came here on a random Tuesday afternoon just to stop by and take a peek at the course. To my surprise, there was nobody on the grounds. Sometimes unexpected times are the best times to stop by on a private course.

I played Basket-to-Basket, which was fun enough, but this course has some great safari potential.

Remember this is private land, so be as polite as you can when trying to play here.

This course is not worth the drive, but if you are a course "ticker" or live nearby, stop in for a quick round. Be sure to check out the map that I posted to make sure you know the order of baskets.
