DeShort's more like it, amirite.

Reviewed: Played on:Jan 7, 2024 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

18 hole course that plays almost like two seperate nines. The front nine is on the west side of the school is extremely short. Hole 1 is an edge of circle putt, literally. Holes 2 thru 6 play around the track are with hole 7 being the longest on this section. It's throws over both longer stretches of the track. Holes 8 and 9 are back to just outside the circle distances. No exaggeration. The back nine offers a lot more challenge, compared to the front nine at least. This section has some elevation and a tree line and Baseball fences in play at least.

Eighteen Mach II baskets here. One basket and placement per hole. Most of the ones on the front nine have large, square Number plates on the top too.

The flow of the course does actually make sense if you use the Udisc map. It's disjointed, but does work. And honestly it kinda uses what available pretty well.

Free to play and never EVER going to be busy.

Cons:

Oof, where to start here. I had played this course more than a decade ago and technically got my first ace here. hard to count since there aren't actual tees of any kind. Whatever, it count's lol.

The baskets appear to be from two different iterations. The front nine have the number plates. These are also the most mangled and tipsy of the 18 here. They all catch ok. I mean, they're old Mach II's. The ones on the front show all the signs of middle schoolers using them as playground equipment. Thankfully the back (better) 9 baskets are in better shape.

Next to nothing for tee signs. There were signs for 12, 16 and 17 I believe. Even then, they're just a post with the hole #.

Wonky layout. The front nine plays on the west of the school. You need to walk to the opposite (east) side of the school to find the back nine. That's also where you find the course signs featuring the course sponsors. For some reason hole 18 throws completely away from the parking lot. Literally the total opposite direction. I thought the basket was missing TBH since it's been so long.

Not playable during school hours which limits it's availability.

Back to the front nine. Expect to scuff up your discs if you plan on playing here. Holes 2 thru 6 are within a few feet of the track on all of the holes. There's also the sidewalk to deal with on holes 1, 8 and 9. I mean, they're basically putts, but still.

Other Thoughts:

This one is a head scratcher. I've played a lot of school courses in WI. I mean, A LOT of them. This one is just odd in all aspects. Absolutely not worth going out of your way to play. Borderline worth it if you're close.

I last played this one probably 12 years ago or so, maybe more. It hasn't improved at all. But it somehow doesn't seem to have gotten any worse. That's kind of impressive I suppose. The course itself is not unfortunately.

Not worth it 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 1, 2011 Played the course:once

Pros:

- Distance is great for younger kids (under 10) that haven't thrown before.
- Never busy

Cons:

-No signage
-Short range drives
-No challenge for any type of player
-Very few technical shots / trees

Other Thoughts:

Went here in the first year of playing Disc Golf to check out the course and even as a beginner it was not challenging. I would not bother with this course unless you just have no where else to go in the area.

plan for safari 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 25, 2011 Played the course:once

Pros:

18 holes
A family of four; and a mother and young son; were the others playing; when we visited. Course is good for introduction to youngsters. This is a middle school.
Back nine gets a little more interesting; and could be played for some nice safari. Hills are involved.
Safari here could be rather enjoyable. It did not appear the course is played heavily.

Cons:

Natural tees.
Front nine incredibly short as designed. You throw from a yellow circle cement stone implanted in the ground. No signs on the front; so, look for the yellow circles. The first one will seem amazingly short; but is correct.
Many of the front pins are under 100 feet.
Back nine is longer; but, still short; with one hole perhaps getting to 275 ft.

Other Thoughts:

Front nine has numbers on baskets. Back nine has numbers on tee signs; but none on baskets. Wood marker embedded in ground at front end of tee on back nine.
Homemade baskets very near to Machs.

We played track as OB and I had four circles on the front nine (which essentially plays around the track).
We also played a mando through the goal posts; from a tricky angle/ on the front. A circle 5 with track also involved and a double circle 7 were recorded! (There is creative fun to be had here.)
