Ok local course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Nov 30, 2015 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Very nice baskets
Always maintained
Offers some shot selection
Nice benches on 4,8

Cons:

Tee pads are way to short and some are not even centered towards the basket(5,6,8)
No tee signs not really needed thought cause of how short it is
Way to easy any avg golfer will shoot -6 to -9 here

Other Thoughts:

They did good with what they had to work with
Would love to see them put in another 9 they have room for it and enough to make that 9 more challenging then the first 9
**** Locals have figured out another nine as follows but
no tee pads
From basket 9 shoot to #1. From #1 shoot to #8. From 8 shoot to 9. From 9 shoot to 7. From 7 shoot to 3. From 3 shoot to 5. From 5 shoot to 4. From 4 shoot to 6. From 6 shoot to 8

great short course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Sep 23, 2015 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

- excellent baskets, with big yellow number signs on top, easily readable from a distance

- concrete tees

- great holes for birdies, maybe aces too

- excellent course to learn on

- not many places to get into trouble

- frequently mowed

- water spigot at the shelter near #1 tee

- easily navigable even if you've never played here before

- a couple benches and trash cans near #8 and #4

- good course to boost your morale if you feel like you have been playing badly recently :)

- the short holes are great for beginners

Cons:

- not very challenging for advanced players

- tees are too short

- no tee signs (they're not really needed though, as every tee is quite near to the previous basket)

- the bench near #8 is 30' past and to the left of the tee (in possible danger from a stray shot)

- not very many obstacles

- all short holes, #6 being the longest at just over 300'

Other Thoughts:

The brush and tall weeds have been cut down recently, hopefully a sign of future park improvements. Some day I hope they will add another 9 holes. That would be excellent, and they have plenty of space.

Good Beginner Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 22, 2014 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

It's a good course to learn on. It's always very well maintained. Little chance of getting lost. The Mach 5 baskets are relatively new and very nice.

Cons:

Wide open. Short tee boxes.

Other Thoughts:

For the more advanced players, the course will serve as good practice for the midrange game.

Nice pitch and putt 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Dec 1, 2013 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Nice pads. Good baskets. Nice mix of hole length and shot shapes. Very nice park, and not too hard to find. A couple of really nice holes. 7&8 were my favorites; two of the longer holes (still 300' or less), 7 is uphill, 8 is downhill, and they lend themselves to opposite shot shapes. There's a good mix of elevation change; some uphill, downhill, and side slopes. I definitely had fun here, and I'll be back to play it again.

Cons:

Tees weren't marked, and there weren't signs with hole information; it was pretty easy to figure out, though (all pads are within 100' of the previous basket, and baskets have big numbers on them that you can read from almost anywhere on the course). (The pictures on here seem to have tee signs, but the weren't there when I played it.) No trash cans specifically for the course, but it doesn't take that long to play that it's a big issue to carry your trash with you. It's a short course. It feels like they sacrificed really good hole design for flow, but that makes it a pretty safe course.

Other Thoughts:

It's a very nice beginner course. There are opportunities to add alternate tees or pins, and plenty of land there to add a lot more holes. If you want to get some driving in, no problem; just play a little safari, it's in a pretty open space that utilizes a modest number of trees.

2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Oct 19, 2013 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

It's a good fun course. It's short and good for practice. The grass was cut everytime I've been there. Easy to find the holes.

Cons:

Could use more trees. I feel like that the tee pads are to short and would like to see signs for the next holes and how far they are.

Other Thoughts:

They should out more course around there.

Marmaduke Park 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 11, 2013 Played the course:once

Pros:

Short, fun practice/beginner course. Great for kids too. Very flat, with mature trees being the only obstacles. Every hole is a birdie opportunity for more advanced players, with several holes being potential aces. New concrete tee pads and baskets too.

Cons:

Very short, and not very challenging for more experienced players. I shot -8 on my first visit to the course.

Other Thoughts:

Great beginner/children's course.
More experienced players can focus on going for aces. I will play this course every time I'm in town.

Could be worse 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Dec 22, 2012 Played the course:once

Pros:

Holes clearly marked with yellow sigNs, nice land. Easy to get to.

Cons:

No baskets or marked tee areas, No starting marker, just kinda go. Lots of potential for a 9 hole course
Not necessarily worth the stop

Other Thoughts:

I saw some concrete teepads, so maybe future for this course, my first pole hole course. Not far off I-49
