Pros:

Camp Henry Horner disc golf course is located on private grounds. The course itself is tucked in the back section of the camp.

There are 9 brand new portable Innova Discatcher Sports that are staked to the ground.

This course flows very nicely and is easy to navigate once you find hole #1.

This is a very beginner friendly course that will expose disc golf to hundreds of campers each year.

Although this course is short it forces basic throwing lines. There are several left to right and right to left turning holes. There are 2 holes that require dead straight accuracy. One is a fun tunnel hole.

Hole #2 has an awesome green. It's a decent sized hill with a fairly steep slope. Depending on where your drive lands you may have a death putt or an uphill putt. There is a roll away factor on this green.

Cons:

For more skilled players this is a pretty easy course.

The tees are grass. It's not a problem when the ground is dry.

The baskets are portable Innova Discatchers. They catch ok but aren't top quality baskets.

Currently there are no tee signs. Tees are marked by flags and spray paint.

Other Thoughts:

There are plans for some basic tee signs.

Fairfield in Round Lake is located just minutes away.
