Heaps better than no course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 29, 2015 Played the course:once

Pros:

It has baskets! and they catch discs.
It easy to find discs as course is very open.
Lots of parking
It has got a couple of long holes. to stretch the arm on.

Cons:

No.4 basket appears to be have taken (vandalized), i just used no 8 basket instead as its nearby to where the map shows where 4 was supposed to be.(looks like just a pole remains)
On a Thursday morning plenty of other park users to be wary of when throwing wayward discs.
No tees, but using last basket as next tee worked fine.
No nearby toilet facilities

Other Thoughts:

Played it backwards to get 18 holes using last basket as tee for next hole. It was fun and enjoyed the fact that i was able to have a round with real baskets instead of objects (trees)

Decimated 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jan 27, 2015 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

only regulation baskets in Brisbane.

Cons:

completely open fairways

Other Thoughts:

This park used to be a nice beginner course but it's been completely decimated by the storm that came through in November. A lot of trees that served as obstacles are now gone so it's completely open. The club are trying to decide what to do with the course/baskets at the moment.

Bit Confusing 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 11, 2011 Played the course:once

Pros:

- Nice wide open fairways.
- Uncrowded park
- Real(ish) baskets
- Good beginner course

Cons:

- Unmarked Tee areas
- No readily accessible map
- Non-regulation small baskets

Other Thoughts:

As a visiting yank I understand that disc golf is not popular in Australia, so i'm very happy to have been able to throw a game here at all.
But Fehlberg Park is not without its frustrations.

There is a map of this course here: http://groups.yahoo.com/group...courseMap.pdf

but you must sign up for Yahoo Groups to access it.

Even with the map in hand, it is nearly impossible to tell where the tee areas are. None are marked in any way, and most are just a flat spot in the grass.

Fortunately on the day I threw here, I was able to meet up with a local who knew the course and could show me the tee spots.

If somebody could just put down a marker of some kind for the tees, this course would be great. A rock, a brick, a stick, anything to let players know where to throw.
