Aesthetic--Plays through a field area, around a baseball diamond and over a ice skating rink (?) on the north end of a multi-use park. no real issue with people if you watch for walkers.

Poles- no baskets, just poles, nice and visible. No real issue with finding where you are throwing.

Routing/nav- not really that bad. the walk between 4 and 5 is long but pretty intuitive if you are thinking about it. other than that, the next tee is visible from the previous pole.

Teepads/poles- no teepads to speak of, barely dirt scuffs. poles instead of baskets is always a con for most folks.

Challenge/ risk v reward-- none to speak of. the holes are short and undemanding. straight shots dominate. the use of trees is ok, but the use of land is kind of poor. no elevation to speak of.

Variety-- like was already said, this course is very vanilla. straight shots with little obstruction. #8 is kind of nice with it's "tunnel" from the tee.

Use of Land-- seems the woods on the far north could have been used to spice this place up a bit.. or the water in the south end for that matter. they may have picked the most boring land to put this course on, seriously.

enjoyed the quick easy round but the challenge factor wasn't there. I threw only a gator and voodoo here. didn't have to take my bag at all

If you are in the area and only have a little time then this would be a good stop. I found it strange how you had to walk a good 1000 feet to get from hole 4 to 5 and they could have put in a few more baskets in between the holes. The poles could have been labeled with numbers on each side it would make it easier to find which pole you are shooting towards. This was the first pole hole course I have played and it has potential to become better but if the budget allows for only having wooden posts then I suppose this would suffice.

- Course is not busy, no chance at all of losing a disc
- Fun quick little course if you're in the mood to just toss and talk with a friend
- Some holes are open enough to throw a driver on
- lots of areas to practice toss on soccer fields and between holes
- some fun/tricky shots because of trees in the way

- no baskets, just poles
- not super easy to find your way the first time
- the holes near the playset could have kids running around very close to pins
- gets a little tedious with no elevation changes

- Mostly short holes, some medium holes suitable for a driver practice throw, plus there is lots of room to practice toss between sets of holes

- I can't imagine this course will ever be busy, so it'd be a fun place to take the family and have a day at the park

- Hole 1 starts by the very back by the nature trail, go ahead and park there because hole 9 ends there as well

- Holes 2-4 are on the same side of the baseball diamond as hole 1...then walk toward the big wood climber for hole 5

- 5-7 are by the climber...so if you have a little guy with you for the climber...park here and start with these 3 holes

- 8 and 9 are back over across the soccer field, heading back toward the Mason school athletic stuff.

Worth checking out if you live nearby...go for some practice throws in the field and there just happen to be some poles to throw at.

Beginner Course.
Well maintained.

Not a lot of course direction. Course is broken up into 3 sets. Holes 1-4, Holes 5-7, and Holes 8 & 9. The course actually doesn't tell you this anywhere though.

No baskets at all. Just a white tipped pole in the ground with the basket number etched into the wood..

Holes 1-4 begin near the entrance to the nature trail.

Hole 5 starts behind the massive wood playground (between the playground and the ball field).

Hole 8 is on the other side of the soccer course, next to the Mason High School tennis courts.

Not a great course, but it is simple, easy, and quick. My wife enjoyed it, and will probably be the course that I take my daughter to once she learns to walk.

I can see this 'course' being my 'driving range' since there is a nice double soccer field in the middle of the course.
