All baskets (rare for New Zealand). Can play shoeless with no worries. Good mix of power and finesse needed, more finesse though. As with every square kilometer of this country, it is quite picturesque. Enough trees to keep it interesting, and they even seem groomed to look better than most, if that makes sense. The river on the side will keep you on your toes for the holes moving away from the road, we only lost one disk. Easy to navigate, and quite relaxing seeing as how no one else uses this area for anything, although we played it on a tuesday morning, so most people were probably working or at school.

No elevation change. Not extremely challenging (which aint so bad after 24 hours of flying, or a night of enjoying the local brew). On the other side of the river is some industry, but it is ignorable. The river might be clean, but with the thick, slick mud, i was not willing to go in for a swimming disk. Can be windy. Other than the initial map/sign (which is quite spectacular), there is little signage. Sometimes a black arrow on the ground to point you in the right direction.

Camping at one of the Top 10 campsites nearby, but they close at 7 so get there early. Well worth the trip out to Gisborne. Afterwards head up to Tolaga Bay for some sea kayaking, head under the warf and follow the shoreline for a pants-crapping view, then go through them.
