Nice 9 with room for improvement 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 10, 2017 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

-VERY well taken care of
-Quiet (Its right next to a ball golf coarse)
-Nice tee pads
-Nice baskets
-Has great opportunities for a variety of shots
-Quick to play
-Few chances to lose a disc

Cons:

-Not very challenging
-Only 9 holes
-Several holes throw near some really nice houses with fences and dogs

Other Thoughts:

The most frustrating thing about this coarse is the amount of unused space around it and the lack of creativity with the holes in place. I read the review mentioning hole 8 being the best hole because of design and the throw over the water (its been moved) now its just the ladies tee to the left. Just seems very uninspired or forced, definitely not designed by a dg enthusiast

Nice 9 hole course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Dec 4, 2016 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Usually not busy.
Quick play
Nice grounds
Nice baskets
Good course for a quick play
Great parking

Cons:

Only 9 holes
Pond on Hole 8 is a disc magnet.
House next to hole 8 is close, ...do not jump over fence for lost discs.
I would not risk getting shot jumping a fence for a disc.
I know if I lived there I would do the same.

Other Thoughts:

Broken arrow is on the board with this 9 hole course.
However, a town of this size should have an 18 hole course...like Owasso.
Plenty of room to add another 9 holes.
It was so fun to play you could just keep playing it over and over again.

Nice 9 hole course in Broken Arrow 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 2, 2013 Played the course:once

Pros:

Good tees and ample signage. The baskets are new so they do their job well. There is a good mix of up hill and down hill shots and the lengths are mixed up well too.
There is a slight water threat on hole #1 and a great shot over the water on hole #8.
The grounds were well mowed and the course plays quickly.
There are other amenities close to this course, a water park, play grounds, football fields, golf course, etc.

Here are my hole observations:
1-plays uphill with a pond and a grove of trees on your right
2-mostly open with moderate length
3-is a long bombers dream, open and lengthy
4-mostly open with moderate length
Holes 5-7 have a few trees to navigate around here or there and are short-moderate in length.
8-is the best hole on this course, plays over the pond with the pin protected on the left by some trees. If you don't want to throw over the water there is another tee to the left hand side of the hole.
9-throws over a mound with some small cedar bushes blocking the pin upon approach.

Cons:

The walk from 4's basket to 5's tee was not very well placed. I understand why its' that way but it throws the flow off a bit.
I don't recall any benches or trash cans here. Trashcans need to be added to encourage the litter bugs to put their cans in the proper place.
Not many trees to block the wind or provide you with shade for those hot summer days.

Other Thoughts:

Overall this is a pretty solid 9 hole park style of a course. It is for the most part beginner friendly(with the exception of #8) and the threat of losing a disc is pretty low here. It could benefit from a few more trees planted on holes 2-5 to make this course a bit more challenging.
It is nice to have another option in the Tulsa area for disc golf. Hopefully this course will get a few more trees planted in the middle of it and a few trashcans added at the tees to help keep it clean and looking good. If you are in the area stop by and give this one a play.

Very Pretty 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 16, 2013 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

This is a really nice little nine holer. Everything seems to be meticulously taken care of. The pads, baskets, and signs were all new and definitely sufficient.

The course is in a park, but separate from everything else. The flow is very smooth, except for from 4-5.

Holes 6, 8, and 9 were all very neat.

Cons:

The first 4 holes seem to just take up space. No real obstacles.

The posted pars were absurd. I finished -5 according to posted par.

All in all, nothing really spectacular about this course that separated it from others.

Other Thoughts:

Not a bad course, just not great. The definition of a 2.5 rated course in my opinion.

On a side note - I shanked a drive on hole 1 and thought my disc went into the pond (difficult to imagine throwing that badly). However, the next day I was contacted by a young man who had found my disc. There are still good people out there!

Decent little 9 hole 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:May 4, 2013 Played the course:once

Pros:

Clean well kept park, not crowded, longer holes that can help you practice power, a few technical holes that can give you a challenge, high pars for beginners, alternate tee on hole 8 if you're scared of the pond.

Cons:

It is really open on about half the holes, it's a 9 hole course.

Other Thoughts:

This course was a pleasant surprise. The first 4 or 5 holes make you think the whole course will be easy, but it toughens up on the last few.
It was awesome shooting over a pond on hole 8 and if you aren't confident or are new to the sport there is an alternate tee with less risk. All in all a very enjoyable course. I'll be coming back.
