+ Nine in a flat, open park with small poured tees, old DisCatchers and no signage

- The layout is full of "tweener" length par 3's: mostly around 400', with one that reaches 473'. Although there's relatively little trouble other than a cornfield bordering a few holes, the lengths make this course unsuitable for beginners


- This is a safety disaster. Multiple holes run parallel or cross busy paved walking paths and sidewalks (just glance through the photos, and look for walking paths). Several holes play across or near ballfields. Other holes cross open fields that are used for picnics and play


- There's tape on the basket spokes, but with no signage the flush concrete tees are difficult to spot. The flow of the middle holes is broken up by park buildings, driveways and playing fields - so expect to wander around a bit (even with uDisc GPS)


- The walk back to the main parking lot is at least a quarter mile, plenty of time to reflect on the choice you made to play here.

~ I can't think of who would enjoy this course. It's way too long for beginners, the wide open landscape provides no protection from strong gusty winds or the hot summer sun. You have to be constantly on guard against throwing at walkers, and several holes are unusable if there's baseball or football being played.


~ 9 baskets with actual tees earns a 1.0 rating from me; it's functional, but without the "fun"

1. Tee pads: nice concrete pads in every hole
2. Practice long throws: when the fields are not being used, you have a lot of open areas to practice long throws, hyper flips, rollers, etc
3. Port-o-let: not a nice bathroom, but it's better than trying to hide behind trees

1. Layout: Hole 9 ends at the far end of the park. You have to walk all the way back to the parking lot. They need to add more holes, so you can come back around naturally
2. Too close to the walking trail: you tee off across some parts of the trail, which means waiting for it to clear
3. No signs: the tee pads are not easily seen due to surrounding grass, would be nice to have tee signs so you can easily see the location

It has multi use fields, which is nice if your wife/husband/kids don't want to play disc golf, they can use the park while you play.
I wish they can add more baskets, so I can play on the way back to the car

Nice concrete tee boxes that are level with the ground to allow exteneded run ups and follow thrus (necessary on this course). Nice baskets. Lots of distance for a 9 hole course. A few shots were interesting despite being a relatively open course. A good confidence builder course if you can throw it far enough. Practice basket near parking lot.

LONG! Don't come expecting a decent score if you aren't driving near 300' at least. No signage at all other than a course map at the parking lot but that sign isn't near the first tee at all (had to go back to sign after playing hole one to take a picture on my phone) Hole 9 ends at the absolute opposite end of the park from the tee at hole one and so its a long walk back to the car. The course is in a township park and weaves its way around a number of ball fields and along a walking path. The walking path sees a ton of traffic so expect to wait to play a few holes.

Overall I really enjoyed this course. Everything was listed at par 3 but hole 2 is almost 550' so I called a 4 there a solid par. Holes 3 and 8 are really fun because they both involve some fun shots around trees or down a tighter alley. Hole 5 seems odd as its right in the middle of the fields but plays well for a forehand player and likely frustrates the hell out of backhand guys with trees all down the right hand side and its a very pretty hole with a slightly elevated tee and the wetlands behind the basket which seems a mile away. 3 was also a fun hole because there is an obvious alley shot but the basket is on the right side of the right tree line, leaving lots of options on how to best play the hole.

-Nice concrete teeboxes
-Great place to stretch out the drivers
-Good for a RHBH player who has good distance but always fades out hard left.
-A lined football field next to the 9th fairway in case you want to find out how far you are driving

-VERY long for a 9-holer (I only say this because its length is comparable to a short 18 and perhaps 18 would make more sense in this park)
-Flow is very difficult to say the least. I took a picture of the course map and needed it after almost every hole
-Not a lot of variety. Pretty much throw a 400' straight line shot for every basket
-Almost a half mile walk from the 9th basket back to the parking lot. I was tired when I got back.
Many holes either run parallel and right next to the walking path (and I saw probably 50 walkers) or cross said path. I realize that as expansive as these paths are within the park this is a difficult problem, but I think an effort could have been made to minimize this problem.

I HIGHLY recommend this course if you have kids that are driving you insane. First, it will allow you to let out some aggression by hucking plastic as far as you can. Second, because you'll walk so far, you'll have plenty of time to cool down. And third, you'll get so ticked off at trying to find the next tee, that you'll forget how bad your kids are.

I probably won't go play here again. There are better 9 holers in the area and Coyote Hills isn't that far away. That is the better course to play if you're in the area.

Courses wends its way through the various playing fields and along the walking path of a nice, but flat, public park. Some of the fields could come into play on wayward throws, but for the most part, are a decent distance away

Minimal obstacles - a few trees on a couple of holes. About half the holes have a treeline running parallel along the rightside of the fairway.

If you like your courses long and open ...

This is a great course to try your drivers on, with wide open spaces to throw into. The concrete tee boxes are long and flat for accurate footing, and the distances of the holes makes for a challenging round. A pretty quiet setting when there are no athletics going on, and not much risk of losing a disc.

At this point, the cons of this course are pretty significant, unfortunately. The course map is nowhere near the first tee, but yet you have to memorize it well or you'll get lost trying to find the next tee box throughout the round. Tees are not marked from above, so you can't see them from a distance (and many holes are quite a distance apart). The pars for the holes are not listed anywhere I could find at the course, so I didn't know how I was doing relative to par. The cinder pathways weave through the course, and it is unavoidable to have a disc land on them and get chewed up at least a couple times per round. Holes 6, 7, 8, and 9 have no variety at all, basically a block of trees on the right side of each hole. Finally, the ninth hole is easily a quarter mile away from the first tee, so you have to pick to either walk a long way to get started, or a long way when you finish.

If this expands to an 18-hole facility, that will help with a few things, like hopefully putting the 18th discatcher near the 1st tee to make parking easier. Labeling the tees would have made this round much more enjoyable as well, as I spent a lot of time wandering looking for the next concrete pad.

A very good course to practice your tee offs. It is a nice walk around the course. It reminds me of Willow Mill but much longer.

If the park is being used heavily by other sports there is no way you could safely play it. Since there are only nine holes with nine ending at the other end of the park, it took me 8 minutes to walk back to my car. Unless you have a big arm there is almost no way for a birdie on most holes.

If you don't like wooded or technical courses this provides a nice break from that. I wish number nine ended closer to the parking area at number one.

Spring Meadows DGC is a nice open course, which is a good contrast to other local options. Most of the holes have good distance and present a challenging par 3. There are plenty of small trees and other obstacles to make for an interesting round, but also good opportunities to rip long drives. As the trees grow in this course will only get more interesting. Each hole is unique and presents a slightly different challenge, so despite playing this course repeatedly I continue to find it entertaining.

When the park is busy with other sports or walkers, you have to take your time to play safely. Usually with a little patience this is not a problem.
