Ace runs galore 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 13, 2013 Played the course:once

Pros:

Short beginner level course in a nicely manicured park. Great place to take the kids and get some practice in as there are several playgrounds and swimming pool. Every hole has a cement tee area with size appropriate for the hole lengths. Detailed tee signs are at each hole and each one has the course map included. Not much for elevation change to be found here, but the little bit that there is has been used thoughtfully. Every single hole on this course is an ace run and I am sure plenty of them will be hit. Many of these holes can be approached with any type of shot due to limited obstacles so it is a good way to help practice all different kinds of throws. The course plays fast which makes for getting quick rounds in at a time.

Cons:

Short holes all under 300 ft. No alternate pin or tee placements. You only need a midrange and putter to play the course. Being that it is the midwest, wind can be a factor and really the only thing that will provide a challenge on this course. All of these holes should be par 3, although one 238 ft hole was a par 4?

Other Thoughts:

Nothing real special about this course. It is a decent place to practice or to be introduced to disc golf in a small town.

Short but pleasant 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 7, 2012 Played the course:once

Pros:

-Lots of ace and birdie shots
-Great signs
-Great baskets
-Other things to do in park
-Good for a nice quick round in 20ish minutes
-Decent flow, Only once did I throw at the wrong baskets

Cons:

-Short
-Tees are short and square
-Not a lot of shot variety, a few trees but you can do what you want with every shot
-Might need to watch out for other park users

Other Thoughts:

This is a typical small town city park course. It is pretty open with just a few trees. It has a water park and playgrounds. I wouldn't recommend playing here unless you happen to be in town for other reasons. The course is pretty average.

2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Mar 20, 2012 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Good layout, the course flows well, and you don't need to be very good to play this course. The signs are in good condition and point you in the right general direction. Very easy. Tee pads are in good condition.

Cons:

Basket on hole 5 has been badly mangled, but you can still get a disc in there. Not a lot of creativity. No long range shots. Short square tee pads.

Other Thoughts:

Although this course isn't spectacular, I still think it's a good course for a beginner, or if you want to practice, and get to know your discs a little better. You can leave your drivers at home. I played this course with 2 discs, Buzz, and putter. So it's not overly challenging. It'll only take you about 15 minutes or so to get through this one. The pars are very easy going, some of the par 3's could be par 2's easily.
