ehh, not really an 18 hole course. 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 17, 2012 Played the course:once

Pros:

Aesthetic--property is nice and kind of a killer campground if you're a kid. Staff is very nice in the office.

Routing--easy, but there are some negatives here too

Signage--Passable, arrow pointing down fairway with seemingly accurate distances. Next tee signs throughout.

Cons:

Baskets--Single-chained Discnation "liberty" baskets that are portables (not permanently anchored). I almost shot through chains numerous times

Teepads--not at all defined in most places, number 10 is on a road and has no place to run up before the teepad. Number 7 is horribly placed between a post and a couple big trees.

"fairways"--or the lack thereof, are just two tracks in most places. thickly grown with weeds. you could probably drive your vehicle through here as a golf cart which would be fun.

the illusion--the illusion that this place is an 18 hole course. the two tees per basket should just be considered short and long tees not separately numbered, you really don't get a unique look from the second tees.

Next tee signs--these are all over the baskets from the crown to the basket to the chains, these could cause bounceouts and irritation.

Other Thoughts:

there is so much potential here that is wasted. why put in 18 crappy holes when you have the potential for a great 9 hole course?

Nine holes played twice 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 1, 2012 Played the course:once

Pros:

Short course on campground property. The course does not play near any camping sites and looks like it is set up for disc golf and hiking. The fairways were pretty well cleared. The course had nice flow and tee signs to make for easy navigation. Nice new single chain freedom baskets that catch pretty well.

Cons:

Natural tees. No defined tee pad/area, just a sign. really only nine holes.

Other Thoughts:

This course is really just a nine hole course. 9 baskets played twice--down the same fairway, except for 9/18 which at least seperate the shots. The only change to the tee area is that the front nine mostly play to the left side of the fairway and the back nine to the right side. Hole 8/17 is a nice pine tunnel that you have to hit to look at deuce. Nice little course that can definitely be improved.
