Scenic, small, creative 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 10, 2017 Played the course:once

Pros:

The course is relatively straight forward to manage.
The course has probably the best scenic backdrop out of all the disc golf courses.
Pretty manageable course as it's not too difficult.
Fun little course that can be quickly played and scored.
It's FREE!!!!!!!
It has a really cool waterfall just off to its side.

Cons:

The course currently is missing it's basket for holes 9 and 10.
Parts are starting to overgrow which will make some shots and tees extremely difficult to handle.
The course is a little swampy in certain areas.

Other Thoughts:

The course itself is a lot of fun. Once they get the hole up for 9/10 it will be a complete 18 hole course. Trimming the over hand will also help a couple holes. Outside of that its enjoyable to play just about everyday. Oh ya, it can get cold...

Someone please redeisgn this mess 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 11, 2015 Played the course:once

Pros:

It's a free course which is great and the property it's on is absolutely gorgeous with great views of the lake side. The potential is totally there for a really cool bunch of short holes with tight lines.

Cons:

We played holes 1-4 and it seemed like it was going to be fun but then when it came time to play after that, even the course "map" didn't help us because the tee pads aren't marked and it became basically impossible to figure out where to throw from or where to throw to. There's disc catchers out there and we basically made a few safari holes and then gave up after hole 4 and 5.

Other Thoughts:

If some one was to contact Cove point resort and offer to redesign their course, this could be a really cool area for a really cool mid range/putter course. Probably wouldn't take much effort either. If not, they would be better off selling the disc catchers and calling it a day.

Short and sweet 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 13, 2013 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Beautiful short course on the north shore with a variety of holes requiring different types of shots. Peaceful and not very busy, especially during the week. Good use of land using each basket twice to get a full 18 with a new look on each hole. Good signage.

Cons:

Uses each basket twice which could be a serious issue if more than one group is playing (never happened while I was there). Rough terrain with lots of debris for twisting ankles.

Other Thoughts:

I have stayed at this resort a few times and have really enjoyed this course. Played with only a putter but could use a mid range or fairway driver on 2 or 3 holes. I had the whole course to myself most of the time. Would not be a destination course but if you are up on the north shore and need a place to throw I would check it out.

Scenic, Small, Putt Putt Disc 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 23, 2012 Played the course:once

Pros:

Beautiful area, great overlook of Lake Superior. Varying shot design. Secluded Feel. Good putting and mid-range practice course. Fall colors are amazing throughout the course.

Cons:

All short holes and the course loops back on itself so you and other players could potentially be throwing at the same basket from different tees. Some of the holes are very close to the parking lot road and could be a potential door ding hazard.

Other Thoughts:

The course is relatively well marked and easy to follow, parts of it seem confusing and the map the front desk gave us was very basic. Regardless, we were able to figure out every hole without much searching. The tees are grass, but that wasn't very bothersome as we weren't really putting a lot of torque in our throws, and footing wasn't really a factor.
