Short but fun 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 1, 2018 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Quick to play
Nice park
Great for approach shots
Great for beginners
Someone put great thought into designing the course, good use of trees to block basic RHBH hysers, good use of the small creeks to make keep you on your toes with no real risk of losing a disc, back eight gives a better challenge with some longer holes and some more difficult throws.

Cons:

When it rains there is casual water everywhere. Stays muddy for awhile after.
When the park is busy you might stand on a tee box for a few minutes waiting for people to move.
There is only 17 holes. One was taken out when the dog park was put in.
Not a real challenge to an intermediate/advanced player.
Most holes are straight ahead with fairly open fairways.
Geese aren't too bad, but can be annoying.

Other Thoughts:

This is a fun course. Definitely one of those "makes you feel good" courses.

Fun Small Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Dec 11, 2016 Played the course:once

Pros:

Short course longest hole is around 340
Straight shots, few trees
Water Holes present
Can be played in short time.

Cons:

tees and holes close together
If you can not throw straight (like myself) you will be yelling fore quite abit

Lack of challenge to Pros, unless windy/rainy

Other Thoughts:

fun course and yo need to throw good shots, but it is not overly challenging to shoot under par if you have good form.

Fun and Challenging 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Oct 1, 2015 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

I was delightfully surprised by this course. It was fun, well laid out, and evident that the course designer put some real thought into it. The space itself isn't all that big, but the design of the course really makes the most out of what they have to work with. The course plays around the lake and provides a good mix of shots with varying degrees of difficulty.

Cons:

Geese. I hate these awful birds.

It's also realllllly easy to lose discs. A playing partner lost two in one round.

Other Thoughts:

watch your step for goose presents

Challenging, Bare Bones Park 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Feb 15, 2015 Played the course:once

Pros:

This course makes excellent use of it's limited room and trees to create interesting, challenging holes. It also uses it's proximity to water to provide difficulty should throws go poorly.

Cons:

The park surrounds a large pond that is used for fishing, and there's a lot of housing on one side, where discs can wind up in private yards. Additionally, low lying parts of the park become flooded and/or muddy in wet weather.

Other Thoughts:

Definitely fun and challenging, especially in the cold and the wind. I definitely need to come back and try it again when it's warmer.

Watch out for geese 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 7, 2013 Played the course:once

Pros:

Beautiful community park around a small lake. A wide variety of skills needed here. Some open holes some threading trees. Some over water at least one blind hole.

Cons:

Geese. There was a flock of geese (30+) congregating around holes 8, 9 and 10. I purposely laid up on one hole because I was afraid I would injure one. On another hole I had to walk ahead and scatter them. There is a lot a lot of geese dropping around. watch your step.

Other Thoughts:

I lost a disc on hole 17 into a neighboring yard. It had a high wooden fence. I am sure she gets several discs a day. If your disc is understable it will end up in her yard. I knocked on the door and she got my disc for me. She was very appreciative that I didn't climb the fence.

Great beginner course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 23, 2012 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

-Great course for beginners.
-Good use of land and the trees that are there.
-Can be played quickly
-Little chance of losing a disc

Cons:

-Short and flat. Only two holes 300ft. or more.
-Can be awkward to find your way around.
-Geese everywhere. They aren't a problem on their own, and stayed out of our way, but their droppings were everywhere.

Other Thoughts:

I started playing disc golf at the old 9-hole course here. The re-design was definitely an improvement. If you're expecting a tournament course, this one will probably disappoint unless you play it as a putter round. Still a good place to practice approach shots and long putts.

However, newer to intermediate players would really enjoy this course. It's a nice starting point to introduce someone to the game or short enough to squeeze in a quick round after work.
