Beginner course! ...with no tee's!?! 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 29, 2013 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

-Great Beginner/Starter course
-DiscCatcher Baskets
-#3 is actually a really cool steep down hill shot
-Does require some accuracy in your shots working around trees
-Plays very quick for a short round
-Good for practice, and working on your finesse game.
-You can park behind the old Franklin School. Which is now Ottumwa Community Church.

Cons:

-There is no definitive tee pad, tee area, tee signs, or tee markers. Just pick a spot near the basket you just holed out on. You'll start by teeing off anywhere you'd like near the #6 basket.
-Navigation isn't extremely difficult, but there is no map. It can be challenging to figure out which basket to throw to. (First time only) TIP: #3 is the big long shot, that is located on the far end of the park.
-#3 requires you to throw over the #5 basket. Granted... You can't miss someone at either the tee or the basket. Interference should be minimal.

Other Thoughts:

This course is a very small 6 hole course. It's too small to be too critical. It is what it is. I did find myself having a good time here. Especially throwing on the #3 Downhill shot. Its a very tall hill, and the only really long distance shot. It's fun to play!

When I played here, I just grabbed a roc and a wizard, but I wished I had a grabbed a leopard for the downhill shot. I played the course twice in 15 minutes. It's short, it's small, and if you can get past the No tee area, it's not a bad time. If anything, you can play it to add another notch to the proverbial played belt.

I probably would have given 1.5 disc rating, due to lack of teepads, but the shot on #3 shot bumped it back up to a 2.
